Other duties may be assigned.</span></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>Company-Wide Safety Program Leadership</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide health and safety policies, standards, and procedures applicable to all Hunt Refining facilities.</span></li>\n <li><span>Establish and oversee a consistent Health &amp; Safety Management System across the enterprise.</span></li>\n <li><span>Provide functional leadership, expert technical advice, and long-term strategic guidance to Safety Managers and safety professionals at the site.</span></li>\n <li><span>Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with industry best practices in refining and petrochemical operations.</span></li>\n <li><span>Support site leadership in strengthening safety culture and accountability.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>Regulatory Compliance &amp; Governance</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Ensure enterprise-wide compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA General Industry Standards and EPA requirements as it relates to Health &amp; Safety, DOT hazardous materials regulations, and applicable NFPA standards.</span></li>\n <li><span>Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into clear company-wide programs, procedures, and expectations that can be readily implemented at the site level</span></li>\n <li><span>Support and coordinate regulatory inspections, audits, and agency interactions.</span></li>\n <li><span>Maintain company-wide compliance documentation and oversight processes.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>Incident Management &amp; Learning</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Lead or support investigations of serious incidents, high potential near misses, and process safety events.</span></li>\n <li><span>Apply recognized root cause analysis methodologies such as TapRooT, Five Why, and Cause Mapping.</span></li>\n <li><span>Analyze incident trends across the enterprise and recommend preventative strategies that can be executed at the site level.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>Performance Metrics, Reporting &amp; Data</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Establish and monitor company-wide health and safety performance indicators including TRIR, DART, near-miss reporting, and process safety events.</span></li>\n <li><span>Develop dashboards and executive-level reports.</span></li>\n <li><span>Present safety performance trends, risks, and improvement recommendations to leadership.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>Training, Competency &amp; Contractor Safety</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Define company-wide safety training requirements and minimum competency standards for employees and contractors.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ensure alignment of safety training and qualification requirements across all facilities.</span></li>\n <li><span>Develop and oversee contractor safety program requirements, including prequalification and performance monitoring.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>Audits, Assessments &amp; Assurance</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Conduct or oversee company-wide safety audits, program assessments, and field observations.</span></li>\n <li><span>Identify gaps between policy and execution and develop corrective action plans.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ensure consistency and effectiveness of safety program implementation across all sites.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>External Engagement</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Represent Hunt Refining Company in industry groups, mutual aid organizations, and with regulatory agencies as required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>Work Environment</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Combination of office and refinery field environments.</span></li>\n <li><span>Regular travel to operating facilities is required.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to access process units, climb stairs, and wear required personal protective equipment during site visits.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>Role Differentiation</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>This position provides company-wide governance, standards, and oversight and is not responsible for daily site safety execution.</span></li>\n <li><span>Site Managers retain responsibility for local implementation and field presence.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.5in\">&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.5in\"><span><b>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Bachelor's degree with a major in</span> <span>Occupational Safety, Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field. Or its equivalent.</span></li>\n <li><span>Minimum of 10 years relevant p</span>rogressive health and safety experience in refining, petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, or heavy industrial operations.</li>\n <li><span>Experience overseeing safety programs across multiple operating facilities. As well as supervisory experience.</span></li>\n <li>\n  <p><span>Professional certifications such as CSP or CIH preferred.</span></p>\n  <p>&nbsp;</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</b>&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span>Must have a valid drivers’ license.</span></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span><b>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>This position requires the individual to be certified to use respiratory protection which includes: fresh air work requiring a tight-fitting full-face mask and a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) weighing up to 35 lbs. Conditions during use could be routine maintenance or operations activities, emergency rescue including in atmospheric concentrations that are immediately dangerous to life and health.
