You will be home daily, as well as on weekends and holidays.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Safe Operation of Commercial Vehicles</strong>: Drive commercial vehicles safely and responsibly, adhering to traffic laws, company policies, and safety guidelines.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Local Freight Pickup and Delivery</strong>: Efficiently and safely pick up and deliver local freight to customer locations.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Record Keeping and Compliance</strong>: Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including driver logs and vehicle inspection reports.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Hazardous Materials Handling</strong>: Follow all Federal requirements regarding the transportation of hazardous materials:</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Customer Interaction and Professionalism</strong>: Interact courteously with customers during pickups and deliveries and always represent Ross Express professionally.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Equipment Maintenance and Inspection</strong>:<ul type=\"circle\" style=\"font-family: initial; font-size: initial;\"><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">Report any mechanical issues promptly.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained.</li></ul></li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Qualifications:</strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Valid CDL-B Driver&rsquo;s License</strong></li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Experience</strong>: 1 year of commercial vehicle driving experience is required.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Clean Driving Record</strong>:&nbsp;<ul type=\"circle\" style=\"font-family: initial; font-size: initial;\"><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">No record of a driver&#39;s license suspension or revocation for more than 30 days covering the 36-month period prior to the order date of the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). A suspension for failure to pay and/or failure to appear will be considered provided there was no conviction for driving while suspended during this period.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">No record of citation or conviction for any serious traffic violation during the 60-month period prior to the order date of the MVR.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">No past pattern or record of citations or convictions for more than three motor vehicle violations during the 36-month period prior to the order date of the MVR.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\">No past pattern or record of involvement in more than one at-fault traffic accident and no more than two motor vehicle violations during the 36-month period prior to the order date of the MVR.</li></ul></li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Physical Examination</strong>: Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Pre-Employment Drug Screen</strong>: Must consent to a pre-employment drug screen and the result must be negative.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Previous Employer Controlled Substance &amp; Alcohol Check</strong>: Ross Express must receive a negative controlled substance and alcohol result from prior employer(s) for the past three-year period.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Work History Check</strong>: Must consent to a ten-year check on work history. Any gap of 30 days or more must be explained.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 18px;\"><strong>Tanker and Hazmat Endorsement</strong>: Preferred but not mandatory.
