Responsibilities: Provide environmental / construction compliance oversight on large multi-year infrastructure projects Prepare clear, accurate, and compliant environmental monitoring reports under CGP and Clean Water Act Lead field-based investigations, including wetland and other resource area delineations using state and federal methodologies Prepare clear, accurate, and compliant environmental review documentation under NEPA, MEPA, CEPA, etc. Prepare clear, accurate, and compliant environmental permit applications under federal, state and local regulations, including Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, MA Wetlands Protection Act, and local wetland bylaws Support municipal and state agency clients across New England with environmental permitting, ecological assessments, and regulatory compliance Collect, analyze, and interpret environmental data to guide ecological evaluations and project planning Present projects at public hearings Prepare technical comment letters, review SWPPP and dewatering plans, and ensure consistency with regulatory requirements Coordinate with agencies such as MassDEP, USACE, CTDEEP, RIDEM, CRMC and local conservation commissions Maintain detailed field notes and contribute to technical reports that inform client decision-making Perform environmental permitting feasibility studies to guide project planning and decision-making Collaborate with engineers, planners, and scientists to deliver high-quality, well-coordinated project outcomes Guide and mentor junior staff in project tasks and professional growth Preferred location is BETA’s Norwood, MA office. Candidates should have flexibility to work from our other office locations. BETA also offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing employees to request working remotely up to 2 days per week.
