    "description": "<p>Dekker is seeking Drafters to contribute to our mission supporting work at Sandia National Laboratory (SNL), Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), and other government installations. The role allows the individual a chance to work on technical and sustainable projects. This position offers the opportunity to make firm-wide contributions to projects ranging from, Multifamily Housing, Commercial and/or Education (K-12 &amp; Higher Ed)</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create detailed architectural drawings and plans using design software, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.</li>\n<li>Ensure accuracy and consistency of drawings and specifications, adhering to relevant building codes and standards.</li>\n<li>Work closely with team members to interpret design concepts and incorporate feedback into drawings.</li>\n<li>Collaboratively engages in project work with responsibilities as assigned.  </li>\n<li>Provide consultation and team collaboration in the planning, design, and coordination of projects.  </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>This is a hybrid work environment with 3 days onsite required. Applicants must live in the Albuquerque, NM area</li>\n<li>US Citizenship required.</li>\n<li>Associate’s degree in drafting, architecture or related field.</li>\n<li>2 + years of relevant experience </li>\n<li>Strong proficiency in drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit). Knowledge of additional design software (e.g., SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite) is advantageous.</li>\n<li>Ability to translate client ideas into visual and/or tangible references such as drawings or models </li>\n<li>Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Note:  Please include a pdf of or a link to your portfolio in order to be considered.</p>\n<p> <br>Dekker offers competitive benefits and salary packages based on education and experience.
