The ideal candidate will be responsible for the delivery, fitting, and education, of durable medical equipment (DME) to ensure that our clients receive the highest quality of care and support. POSITION DETAILS: Job Title: Durable Medical Equipment Technician Status : This is a full-time, year-round, benefits eligible position Classification : Non-Exempt - Hourly Location : Vail Clinic (with some travel to other clinic locations as needed for coverage) Schedule : Monday - Friday; 40 hours per week Pay Range: $22-$26.00 / hour based on relevant work experience DME FITTER OVERVIEW: The DME Technician is responsible for providing equipment, fitting and education of orthopaedic durable medical equipment (DME) for patients. Our DME fitters play an essential role in enhancing the quality of life for patients who rely on durable medical equipment, ensuring that their devices are functional, comfortable, and suited to their individual needs. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: As recommended by the physician, fit patients with DME, ensuring proper fit and utilization. Provide training and education to patients on the application, proper use, care and expected outcome for equipment as indicated by physician instruction and manufacturer. Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, service logs, and patient interactions. Respond to DME requests and troubleshoot equipment issues in a timely manner. Stock DME supply room and help monitor inventory levels. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
