They are responsible for patient care, appropriate documentation, quality control, and quality improvement, and they provide training, education and mentoring to students, technologists, nursing, residents, fellows, staff, and others.</p><p>Think you’ve got what it takes?</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Checks room daily for adequate stock necessary to facilitate continuous exam flow. Maintains appropriate inventory as indicated by posted par levels and updates supply lists when items are needed<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Assesses factors that may contraindicate the procedure such as medication contraindications, patient risk for reaction to medications, patient history, laboratory results, insufficient patient preparation or artifacts<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Provides information to patients, health care providers, students and the public concerning the role and responsibilities of individuals in the profession<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Working independently performs routine and complex, STAT, urgent, on-call and potentially intraoperative Ultrasound cases, while accurately demonstrating understanding of anatomy and pathology through proper imaging techniques<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Responsible for precise, complete, and accurate data entry and image management in appropriate technology infrastructure: EPIC, PACS, etc<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Accurately and independently performs procedures, identifies, and resolves issues. &nbsp;Seeks experiences and knowledge in the technical area to gain expertise<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Responsible for quality control activities on the equipment and collaborates with appropriate parties to resolve image quality issues<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Participates and leads continuing education in-service programs, reads professional publications, reviews procedure manuals, and attends trainings<br>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><p><br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Graduate of a formal diagnostic Radiology program required<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;BLS certification from the American Heart Association required<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;RVT certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography required within 18 months of entry into the role<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;RDMS-AB, RDMS-OB or RDMS-PS certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography required<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;RVS - Registered Vascular Specialist by Cardiovascular Credentialing International may substitute for the RVT requirement<br>•&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;3 years Radiology experience required (any/all modalities)</p>",
