Provides support to the nursing staff and patient care through the direction and guidance of licensed staff and leaders.&nbsp;<br><br><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p><ul><li>Ensures supplies and equipment for patient care are readily available and organized in an efficient manner.</li><li>Correctly identifies and uses appropriately personal protective equipment.</li><li>Responds to patient and family requests promptly.</li><li>Accurately monitors and records patient information, test results and stats.</li><li>Provides care to assigned patients including the activities of daily living, non-medication pain management and other interventions.</li><li>Accurately follows patient care policies, practices and protocols i.e. sterile technique and skin care protocol.</li><li>Assists with personal hygiene and elimination needs.</li><li>Provides patient with clean linen and towels at the beginning of shift and changes both as needed.</li><li>Answers call system promptly and intervenes appropriately.</li><li>Cleans equipment as directed.</li><li>Ensures continuity of professional care and participates in program development and process improvement.</li><li>Follow proper procedures during verbal and physical de-escalation of patients. Able to individually individually perform crisis intervention and restrain violent patients. Responds to all Code White alerts.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li><li>Maintains regular and reliable attendance.</li><li>Complies with all policies and standards.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>0-2 years of experience as a patient care assistant in a mental health hospital setting required</li></ul><p><strong>Licenses and Certifications</strong></p><ul><li>BCLS - Basic Life Support required</li><li>De-escalation Training Certification required</li></ul>",
