Responsible for learning how to perform preventative maintenance and routine mechanical for Allison transmission rebuilds, as instructed by senior level Diesel Service Shop Technicians and Group Leaders.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Learn basic parts, processes, and maintenance techniques as instructed by more senior level Shop Technicians.</li>\n <li>Work with more senior level Shop Technicians to understand how to accurately troubleshoot and diagnose routine problems with customer’s equipment.</li>\n <li>Retrieve parts and other supplies for more senior level Shop Technicians.</li>\n <li>Learn how to complete all work orders and time sheets in a legible, accurate, and timely manner.</li>\n <li>Provide assistance to more senior level Shop Technicians on larger jobs.</li>\n <li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>The trait of being dependable and trustworthy.</li>\n <li>Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education/Experience:</strong></p>\n<p>High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. </p>\n<p>No prior experience necessary.</p>\n<p>Basic mechanical aptitude required. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Computer Skills:</strong></p>\n<p>Basic computer navigation and utilization skills required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Activities & Requirements: </strong></p>\n<p>Vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception)</p>\n<p>Sense of Smell</p>\n<p>Sense of Touch</p>\n<p>Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety equipment as required by the position, location, and/or customer)</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions: </strong></p>\n<p>Work outside as well as in a shop environment.
