They will serve as a role model, mentor, advocate and motivator to recovering individuals in order to help prevent relapse and promote long-term recovery. The Peer Recovery Supporter must demonstrate an ability to share personal recovery experiences and to develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Detailed job duties include:</strong></p><ul><li>Identifying and creating goals and developing recovery plans with the skills, strengths, supports and resources to aid them in achieving their goals</li><li>Using ongoing individual and group support information to learn how to identify and calm negative self-talk and fear based thinking</li><li>Supporting individuals in their vocational choices</li><li>Obtaining and maintaining safe and affordable housing of their choosing&nbsp;</li><li>Obtaining services that suit that individual&rsquo;s recovery needs by providing names of staff, community resources and groups that may be useful.&nbsp;</li><li>Helping to identify and connect with natural supports&nbsp;</li><li>Developing empowerment skills and combating stigma through self-advocacy</li></ul><div><div class=\"fr-view\"><div><div><div><div></div></div></div></div></div></div><p><br></p>\n    </div>\n  </div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n<br/>Family friendly, flexible hours.
