Mental Health Technicians will help with maintaining healthy boundaries, foster support and build rapport with the clients to assist them in their growth and recovery.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Job Duties:</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Monitoring residents' whereabouts, activity, and program compliance throughout shift.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Conduct inquiry searches, when necessary, for contraband.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Conduct inquiry and monitor for substance use including random UA's.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Know, understand, and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, Employee Handbook, and Resident Handbook.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Support client needs and provides support in the form of active listening.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Know and understand the needs of the population we serve and what resources you could offer that may be helpful to the resident.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Be aware and model appropriate personal and professional boundaries.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Provide consistent, outcome-oriented interventions.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Motivate residents toward positive behavior with neutral, objective, and respectful demeanor without escalating the situation.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Show empathy and patience when encountering challenging situations.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Assist with client groups, outings, activities, and transportation as needed.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Support other teams with medications, UAs, admissions, coordination, etc.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Perform UA’s and BAC’s, if needed<br>Complete shift notes and EHR documentation each day. <br>Support clinical in Recreational and Therapeutic groups and activities.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Adhere to all documentation requirements for state licensure and accreditation agencies.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Screen all facility visitors and adheres to sign in procedures.  Maintains client confidentiality.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Participate in routinely scheduled trainings.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Assist with other administrative duties as assigned.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">High school diploma or GED preferred.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Valid Utah driver’s license and access to a reliable personal vehicle.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Must pass background, random drug screening tests, TB test, and CPR certification.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds.  Respects diversity.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d; font-size: 13px\">Effective oral and written communication skills, including use of tools and technologies.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #2d2d2d;
