    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>TITLE:</u></strong><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; Sales/Stock Clerk&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong><u>REPORTS TO:</u></strong><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Second Hand Rose Store Manager</strong></p><p><strong><u>CLASSIFICATION:</u></strong><strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Part Time Non-Exempt&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong><u>GENERAL DESCRIPTION &amp; QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong><strong>:&nbsp;</strong>The Sales/Stock Clerk is responsible for generating sales, providing customer service, operating a cash register, greeting and assisting donors, sorting, organizing and pricing donated items, and stocking merchandise for sale in the store. &nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong><strong>:</strong></p><ul><li>Implement agency and program mission and empowerment philosophy.&nbsp;</li><li>Administer and implement Turning Point and Second Hand Rose policies and procedures.</li><li>Maintain agency policy on confidentiality.</li><li>Generate sales of merchandise.&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure the highest level of customer service and donor relations. &nbsp;Interact with donors and customers to answer questions and solve problems. &nbsp;Provide a friendly, service-oriented environment by greeting and acknowledging every guest and assisting as needed.</li><li>Supervise volunteers working in your area to ensure they are doing it correctly. &nbsp;Offer coaching if needed.</li><li>Maintain knowledge of current sales.</li><li>Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash accountability at the cash register.</li><li>Maintain complete and accurate records as required</li><li>Create and maintain in-store and window displays.</li><li>Keep log book for furniture, estate sale and special pickups.</li><li>Responsible for the upkeep of donor station at back door. &nbsp; Maintain supply of donor receipts, pens, handouts.</li><li>Rearrange and/or rotate furniture and merchandise as required to ensure optimal traffic flow, display and safety.</li><li>Assist cashier on duty to ensure proper customer service.</li><li>Sort, price and stock merchandise for sale in the store.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and general store/backroom organization.</li><li>Responsible for following SHR safety procedures and for maintaining a safe and clean environment inside the store and backroom, as well as the outside premises of SHR.</li><li>Be able to perform the basic functions of the day-to-day store/backroom operations of SHR.</li><li>Be aware of store surroundings, report all possible shoplifters to management, or call the police if management is not immediately available. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Be aware of and adhere to Second Hand Rose policies with regard to staff purchases. &nbsp;Report all possible losses to management.</li><li>Keep store manager (or Key Holder) informed of all potential problems.</li><li>Participate in applicable staff, committee meetings, and other meetings deemed necessary by Turning Point.</li><li>Conduct relationships with SHR and agency staff and volunteers to promote mutual respect and a positive and productive work environment.</li><li>Notify the SHR Store Manager, or Chief Fund Development Officer of any emergency situations that may affect Turning Point staff and clients.</li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned by the SHR Store Manager</li></ul><p><strong><u>Working Conditions</u></strong><strong>:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Must be able to work independently</li><li>Allows for flexibility in schedule and job function</li><li>Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds.</li><li>Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.</li><li>Must be available to work week-ends.</li><li>Must be able to work flexible hours.</li><li>Must be prepared to work in all weather conditions. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>OTHER REQUIREMENTS:</strong> Must pass central registry and criminal background check as a condition of employment.</p><p><br></p></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
