UW Regulation 2-7 describes the activities that fall into this set of responsibilities for faculty; the same definition of research applies to Academic Professionals.</p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>Field data collection - monitoring Wyoming toad populations (field surveys), vegetation surveys, Bd swabs, animal condition, lifting up to 40 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation, driving field vehicle.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Animal care - care of Wyoming toads as part of experiments and released animals, collecting natural food for toads, exposing animals to disease and treating infections.</p>\n<p>Data Analysis - disease load, analyses of disease experimental data, survival, population trend, qPCR, and other analyses as needed.</p>\n<p>Writing - reports, scientific papers for publication, IACUC approvals, submitting permits, writing grants.</p>\n<p>Communication- presenting results to recovery team, presenting at scientific meetings and to partners, outreach to the general public.</p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>Master's degree in ecology, wildlife, or related field with two years of field, animal care, and/or laboratory experience.</p>\n<div>\n <p>Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the <a href=\"https://www.uwyo.edu/regs-policies/_files/docs/policies/uw-sap-7-9.10-vehicle-sap-driver-portion-approved4-27-22.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Driving for University Business SAP</a>.&nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<p><strong>DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  &nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>PhD with publication experience in ecology, wildlife, or related field preferred. &nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS: </strong></p>\n<p>Complete the online application.&nbsp; The department additionally requests candidates upload the following document(s) for a complete application:&nbsp;</p>\n<ol>\n <li>Cover letter&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Resume or C.V.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Contact information for four work-related references (references will only be contacted if you are selected as a finalist for the position).&nbsp;</li>\n</ol>\n<div style=\"margin-left:0px\">\n <p><strong>This position will remain open until filled.
