Serve as a core contributor to the phased Marketing Cloud implementation and migration from the legacy system, collaborating closely with implementation partners, internal technical teams, and stakeholders to establish scalable data and campaign foundations. Contribute to the development of donor-facing digital engagement packages beyond email (e.g., microsites, curated content hubs, targeted digital newsletters, and cohort- or individual-specific communications) in partnership with communications colleagues and vendors. Assist key stakeholders in Alumni Relations and Planned Giving to engage their audiences with timed email communications and newsletters. Partner with the Special Events team on comprehensive email communications for an annual calendar of private and public fundraising and donor events. Regularly assess, optimize, and pilot new approaches for annual appeals and broad-based campaigns under strategic guidance of the Senior Director of Annual Programs and trusted vendor. Establish and manage testing and measurement plans (A/B and multivariate where appropriate), including subject lines, creative, send time, content modules, and journey decisioning Analyze email campaign and journey performance, report on KPIs, and translate findings into actionable recommendations to increase ROI. Support deliverability best practices and compliance (e.g., CAN-SPAM and institutional policies), including list hygiene, preference management, sender reputation monitoring, and documentation of standards. Coordinate with a trusted vendor and third-party strategy team to execute projects on time and with high quality, and to incorporate strategic and technical recommendations into day-to-day work. Maintain clear documentation of operational processes, templates, QA checklists, and reporting cadences to ensure continuity, scalability, and continuous improvement.
