Our Bakers will be responsible for executing a wide variety of tasks throughout the store, including checking and bagging groceries, and will provide a memorable experience for all our customers. A Baker is a responsible team player and always ready to learn. A Baker can work at a fast pace, has a keen eye for safety and will be able to help execute an assortment of duties throughout the store.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>: A Baker is a responsible, friendly person who can safely work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>A Baker’s responsibilities include:&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Maintaining a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow team members.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Engaging with customers through smiles and greetings, offering product information, providing selling suggestions and active sampling and always giving a genuine thank you.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Mixing, weighing, proofing, baking, frying, decorating, finishing and merchandising quality bakery products using Bashas’ recipes.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Loading and unloading the oven, knowing the proper temperatures and duration to bake all varieties of product,&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Scaling cakes and cupcakes, ice sweet rolls, breads and cookies, etc.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Assisting in the ordering and receiving of bakery products and supplies.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Controlling product inventory and out of stocks, shrink and supplies.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Using scale printer machine, ensuring weights and pricing are correct.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Understanding the importance and the monitoring of product pricing, signage, and placement as well as the use of product shelf tags and shelf signage.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Keeping a clean, neat and orderly bench, production area, storage area, and walk-in coolers and freezers.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Helping in the wrapping, boxing, weighing, slicing, finishing, and stocking bakery department products, rotating them as necessary to ensure quality and safety.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Displaying goods following bakery department and/or merchandising guidelines.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Helping decorators with personalization of cakes and icing of cakes, donuts, sweet rolls and etc.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>All other related duties as assigned&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>The Baker responsibilities will primarily be in the Bakery department but may also work in other departments as needed.&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>Desired qualifications include:&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Friendly and customer service oriented. Interest in food and cooking a plus.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Customer service, restaurant, barista, food service, grocery or similar experience desired&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Self-motivated, with a high attention to detail, quality and presentation&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Skills to communicate effectively with coworkers and customers&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Ability to work independently, effectively manage time and multitask in a fast-paced environment&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Ability to read, understand and follow through on verbal and written directions&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Ability to reliably meet required work schedule and adhere to company attendance policy&nbsp;</p>\n<p><u>Must be 18 years of age&nbsp;</u></p>\n<p><strong>Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for an extended period:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>Standing, Sitting, Lifting + Stocking (Up to 50 lbs.), Pushing, Keyboarding, Telephone Use, Walking, Bending&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>",
