Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, along with the following. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
CRM proficiency - Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a comparable CRM platform is required
Microsoft Office Suite - Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI
Communication - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong phone etiquette and accurate data entry
Organization - Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Self-motivated - Able to work independently with minimal day-to-day direction while contributing effectively to shared team goals
Customer-focused mindset - Committed to delivering exceptional service to both internal teams and external customers
Resilience & enthusiasm - Demonstrates perseverance and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative & independent thinking - Capable of working both autonomously and within a team, coordinating multiple activities at once
AI-forward mindset - Actively seeks opportunities to apply AI and emerging tools for continuous improvement and innovation
Responsibilities for this Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS), a market leader and technology innovator, is seeking a talented Sales Operations Specialist to join our team, focusing on maintaining and growing GDMS' customer base through exceptional support, engagement and customer intimacy. As a Sales Operations Specialist, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Essential Job functions & Responsibilities :
Build and maintain positive customer relationships supporting the Account Management and/Sales team
Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries via phone and email, providing timely and professional support
Triage and route a high volume of customer inquiries to the appropriate individuals or teams for follow up
Leverage CRM to create opportunities and generate accurate, timely quotes in support of sales activities
Ensure data integrity by consistently maintaining and updating customer records within CRM
Assist in the preparation of sales reports, performance metrics, and ad hoc analyses using CRM and other reporting tools
Collaborate cross-functionally with Contracts, Order Management, and Finance departments to support customer order fulfillment
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, pricing, promotions, and internal procedures
Support sales/marketing collateral and loaner provision process, as required.
Proactively identify bottlenecks, recommend improvements, and champion the adoption of AI tools to enhance sales operations efficiency
Demonstrate professionalism and build trust by consistently representing the company with integrity, maintaining confidentiality, honoring commitments, and fostering credible, respectful relationships with both internal teams and external customers
Position: On-site Dedham, MA (3-4 days per week on-site, 1-2 days per week remote work possible with agreement from manager)
