This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a groundbreaking model of care that integrates a comprehensive, one-stop-shop of health services into the daily lives of thousands of commuters and residents.</em><em>As a member of our team, you will help redefine healthcare accessibility, providing world-class, convenient care for people traveling throughout the Northeast, including New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. This state-of-the-art, 60,000-square-foot facility will offer a wide array of services, including primary care, urgent care, advanced imaging, and specialists. You will be joining a visionary project that establishes a new standard for healthcare delivery in suburban areas.</em></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>**The CMA for Health and Wellness Cetner at Metropark may work in a variety of practices in the facility, including: Primary Care, Rheumatology, Pulmonary, Colon Rectal, Orthopedics and Cardiology. Flexibility to float as needed to various specialties will be required. </strong></p>\n<p><strong>**Schedule will depend on individual practice hours and often flexible around part time schedules</strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>A day in the life of a <strong>Certified Medical Assistant</strong> at <strong>Hackensack Meridian <em>Health</em></strong> includes:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepares exam room, treatment room, supplies and instruments. </li>\n <li>Prepares patients for physician visit and examination assisting as directed. </li>\n <li>Takes patient's vital signs and records in medical chart. </li>\n <li>Understands proper function and care of special equipment. </li>\n <li>Performs EKG, PFT, Audiometry, Titmus Test as indicated after a performance evaluation checklist completion. Also performs UDS, BAT, Phlebotomy, and other lab testing as indicated after performance evaluation checklist completion. </li>\n <li>Maintains records by completing patient records as directed; file record and reports. </li>\n <li>Assists with collections/billing procedures as needed. </li>\n <li>Uses computer software to maintain office systems. </li>\n <li>Identifies and responds to issues of confidentiality. </li>\n <li>Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care that is specific to those needs (i.e., age, culture, language, hearing and/or visually impaired, etc.). This process includes communicating with the patient, parent, and/or primary caregiver(s) at their level (developmental/age, educational, literacy, etc.). </li>\n <li>Other duties and/or projects as assigned. </li>\n <li>Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior. </li>\n <li>Lifts a minimum of 5 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 5 lbs. and stands a minimum of 1 hour a day</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required</strong>: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma or equivalent such as a GED </li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills </li>\n <li>Ability to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with varying populations </li>\n <li>Ability to work in a fast paced environment </li>\n <li>Knowledge of computerized processes and data entry procedures </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred</strong>: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Licenses and Certifications Required</strong>: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Registered Medical Assistant or National Certified Medical Assistant or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Clinical Medical Assistant Specialist </li>\n <li>AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>If you feel that the above description speaks directly to your strengths and capabilities, then please apply today!</p>\n<h2>Starting Minimum Rate</h2>Minimum rate of $23.68 Hourly\n<h2>Job Posting Disclosure</h2>HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency for our team members.
