This turnkey project execution strategy ensures there is one point of contact to handle projects of any size from beginning to end and allows a cohesive and coordinated Quanta Services team to enter the project life cycle at the earliest stage possible. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our turnkey service capabilities provide our customers with efficiency, consistency, attention to detail and safe execution. The QISG team brings together Engineering, Safety, Quality, Material Procurement, QA/QC, Right-of-Way Acquisition, Scheduling, Environmental Planning, Permitting, Title and Land Management expertise that ensure outstanding results for our clients. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Supervising Engineer will oversee the detailed design of high voltage substation projects. This role involves managing a team of engineers, designers and support staff to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a degree in electrical engineering, with extensive experience in performing the detailed design of high voltage substation projects. </p>\n<h2>What You'll Do</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, including planning, design, permitting, construction support, and closeout. </li>\n <li>Supervise a team of engineers, designers, and support staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. </li>\n <li>Oversee the preparation of engineering designs, specifications, and plans for high voltage electrical substation projects. </li>\n <li>Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions. </li>\n <li>Ensure all projects comply with applicable industry, client, governmental regulations and standards. </li>\n <li>Implement and oversee quality control procedures.</li>\n <li>Prepare and maintain detailed project status reports, engineering documentation, and records. </li>\n <li>Evaluates and monitors engineering contractors and consultants.</li>\n <li>Assist in selection, training, coaching of direct reports to build effective teams.</li>\n <li>Assign tasks to project design team based on project needs</li>\n <li>Work with project team to create or modify all design documents</li>\n <li>Ensure project team applies engineering standards including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI</li>\n <li>Other duties as required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Bring</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the electric utility industry performing engineering related duties and/or management for high voltage electrical substation design. </li>\n <li>Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) or Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.</li>\n <li>P.E. license required.</li>\n <li>Proven track record of successfully leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.</li>\n <li>Strong technical expertise in electrical engineering, with a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and practices.</li>\n <li>Expert knowledge of electric utility engineering and construction standards.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of utility industry processes including scheduling, contracts, coordinating and managing all disciplines.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of process and procedures for project controls and estimates.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience supporting external customers.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations, including ANSI, ASTM, ACI, AISC, IEEE NEC, NESC, and others.</li>\n <li>Able to deal with ambiguity and ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and determine priorities in a complex environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Travel Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Role will require travel as necessary to achieve job responsibilities, up to 10-15% of the time.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Get</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive salary and bonus structure.</li>\n <li>Comprehensive health and retirement benefits.</li>\n <li>Professional development opportunities.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>\n<p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex (including gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, and/or gender identity), age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and/or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
