    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>We are seeking skilled <strong><em>Preaction Sprinkler Inspection Technician</em></strong> to join our team in our Pleasanton, CA office. We are looking for an experienced, professional, self-starting individual, with a strong desire to inspect fire sprinkler, and other life/safety systems.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Fire Sprinkler inspections who possess the capability to repair deficiencies.</li>\n <li>Specific skills such as testing fire pumps, annual and five-year sprinkler certifications are required.</li>\n <li>Candidate would have experience with multiple brands of fire alarm and sprinkler equipment. OSHA 10 Certificate is required.</li>\n <li>Candidate must also be able to perform repairs on fire sprinkler systems.</li>\n <li>Resolve field problems through research of multiple alternatives.</li>\n <li>Communicate and effectively interact with contractors and building owners.</li>\n <li>Identify and assist with suggested solutions for efficient repairs as needed to complete the scope.</li>\n <li>Effectively communicate work status to Foreman and Project Manager.</li>\n <li>Complete all appropriate company paperwork as required.</li>\n <li>Service and repair fire sprinkler systems.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Candidate should possess good electronic and mechanical skills.</li>\n <li>Technical understanding and knowledge of automatic sprinkler systems, components, and requirements for testing and repair.</li>\n <li>Must have strong writing and verbal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Must be proficient in the use and application of industry related equipment including MS Office including MS Word and Excel.</li>\n <li>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.</li>\n <li>Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.</li>\n <li>Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.</li>\n <li>CA Fitter Card required/ earned within the first year.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>HCI Systems Inc. is a licensed C-7, C-10 and C-16 low voltage systems integration contractor offering a full spectrum of services including sales, engineering, installation, service, and maintenance with over 600 employees in our seven branches.
