    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About Generation:</span></p>\n<p>At<span> </span><span><a href=\"https://www.generation.org/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Generation</a></span>, we believe in the power of employment to change lives. We are a global nonprofit organization that supports adults to achieve economic mobility through employment. Generation trains and places adult learners of all ages into careers that are otherwise inaccessible, working in partnership with governments, employers, and other system actors. We also conduct original research and share data insights on high-priority global workforce transition topics to inform decision-making by workforce system stakeholders. Launched in 2015, Generation comprises a global hub (Generation You Employed, or GYE) and a network of in-country affiliates. To date, the network has 150,000+ graduates and 23,000+ employers across 50 professions and 17 countries. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>When learners join Generation, 91% are unemployed, of which nearly half are long-term unemployed.  Three months after completing our program, graduates have an 78% job placement rate, rising to 88% within six months. Of our employed graduates, 79% are hired by repeat employers who have previously hired Generation graduates, and 89% are in jobs directly related to the profession for which we have trained them. Employed graduates immediately earn an average of 3-4X their previous earnings.  Two to five years after graduation, 77% of our alumni from upper-middle income countries continue to meet their daily financial needs and 63% can save for the future. To date, Generation’s global graduates have earned more than $1.9 billion in wages. Generation graduates typically have a secondary school background, 52% are female, 28% have dependents, and the majority identify with underrepresented communities in their country.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">JOB OBJECTIVES:</span></p>\n<p>The Impact Analyst will strengthen Generation’s ability to measure, analyze, and communicate durable impact across the global network. Reporting to the Lead, Impact Evaluation &amp; Data Advocacy, this role will support durability measurement, evaluation framing, structured analysis, and insight synthesis, while collaborating across analytics and impact operations initiatives.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This role combines structured problem-solving, research rigor, and practical analytics. The Impact Analyst will contribute to cross-country durability analyses, benchmarking, rapid-response leadership inquiries, and high-quality insight development, while gaining exposure to analytics production, dashboard interpretation, and data operations processes.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Over time, this role is designed as a development pathway toward senior impact measurement and/or impact operations leadership within Generation.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Durability &amp; Impact Evaluation Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support cross-country durability analyses (employment, earnings, job quality, financial health, and related metrics)</li>\n<li>Contribute to evaluation framing, research design inputs, and methodological comparability discussions</li>\n<li>Conduct structured literature reviews and benchmarking analyses</li>\n<li>Draft evaluation briefs, internal synthesis memos, and funder-ready materials</li>\n<li>Help ensure durability insights are grounded in consistent and reliable underlying data</li>\n</ul>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Structured Analysis &amp; Rapid Problem Solving</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Translate ambiguous leadership and funder questions into structured analytical approaches</li>\n<li>Conduct exploratory and quick-turn analyses using available datasets</li>\n<li>Identify patterns and implications across countries, cohorts, and program models</li>\n<li>Participate in problem-solving sessions with D&amp;I and Generation leadership</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Insight Synthesis &amp; Communication</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop high-quality slide decks and written summaries that distill complex findings</li>\n<li>Translate technical analyses into accessible narratives for non-technical stakeholders</li>\n<li>Support development of coherent impact narratives across decks and reports</li>\n<li>Contribute to external-facing materials where appropriate</li>\n</ul>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Cross-Functional Analytics &amp; Operations Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Partner with Impact Operations and Analytics colleagues on select dashboard analyses and metric interpretation</li>\n<li>Provide light analytical support to dashboard updates and reporting enhancements</li>\n<li>Collaborate on improving clarity and consistency of core metrics (e.g., placement, durability indicators, income, living wage, ROI)</li>\n<li>Contribute to strengthening data quality, documentation, and analytical processes where relevant</li>\n<li>Gain exposure to broader data governance and analytics ecosystem discussions</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ATTRIBUTES (e.g. qualifications, knowledge, skills, and experience):</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required experience and skills:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>1–3 years of experience in analytics, research, consulting, monitoring &amp; evaluation, policy, or related fields</li>\n<li>Strong structured thinking and problem-solving ability</li>\n<li>Ability to synthesize complex information into clear insights</li>\n<li>Strong written communication and slide development skills</li>\n<li>Comfort working with data (Excel required; SQL preferred)</li>\n<li>Ability to operate independently with moderate ambiguity</li>\n<li>Intellectual curiosity and high attention to detail</li>\n<li>Collaborative mindset across technical and non-technical stakeholders</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred experience and skills:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in workforce development, economic mobility, education, or related social sector work</li>\n<li>Exposure to survey design, research design, or impact evaluation methodologies</li>\n<li>Experience working with dashboards (e.g., Power BI) and interpreting metrics</li>\n<li>Familiarity with quasi-experimental or evaluation concepts</li>\n<li>Experience preparing materials for senior leadership or funders</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Mindset:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Structured thinker who naturally breaks down ambiguous questions into clear components and approaches.</li>\n<li>Intellectually curious and motivated to understand the “why” behind outcomes, not just produce analysis.</li>\n<li>Comfortable operating with moderate ambiguity while maintaining high standards for clarity and rigor.</li>\n<li>Eager to learn and grow into greater ownership, receptive to feedback, and motivated by development.</li>\n<li>Collaborative and low-ego, able to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders to refine ideas and strengthen outputs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>",
