The role owns the campus design delivery. The role owns the cross organizational design quality, acting as the technical authority across key disciplines (CSA, MEP, controls, networks, and power substation), and drives design decisions that balance technical performance, economics, schedule, and supply chain availability.</p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">RESPONSIBILITIES</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Lead design delivery: </span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Own high-level, low-level, and campus masterplanning design.</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Act as technical authority: </span>Provide product implementation expertise across CSA, MEP, controls, networks, and power substations.<br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Client: </span>Interface with the Client during the sales cycle and during the delivery of the data centre.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Authorities</span>: Lead the design permitting process, interfacing with local permitting bodies ensuring permitting constraints are met, and ultimately ensuring permits for construciton are granted.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Ensure design quality &amp; performance:</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Guarantee Max IT capacity and SLA compliance</li>\n<li>Deliver efficiency targets (PUE, WUE)</li>\n<li>Deliver a design which meets permitting requirements</li>\n<li>Develop a design which is optimized to meet the Data4 and Client’s SLA performance requirements</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Define and optimise technical solutions:</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Set equipment requirements with programme, delivery, and supply chain</li>\n<li>Optimise design to target cost metrics</li>\n<li>Drive modular / prefabricated design approaches</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Select and validate vendors:</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Support vendor selection</li>\n<li>Validate technical specifications<br><br></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Support constructability:</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Define construction methods</li>\n<li>Ensure design is buildable and aligned with delivery constraints</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Coordinate commissioning readiness:</span> Interface with commissioning requireemts to Define, review, and validate commissioning protocols are included for execution</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Engage with customers &amp; stakeholders:</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Support technical discussions, engineering reviews and the prospecting and contract negotiation stage</li>\n<li>Provide SME input for utility and permitting topics</li>\n<li>Lead techncial validation with the Client during the execution phase</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Drive project alignment: </span>Work with project controls and delivery to ensure schedule and cost adherence</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">RESPONSIBILITES IN TERMS OF IMS CERTIFICATIONS</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Respect and enforce certification policies in terms of:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">H&amp;S:</span> Respect and enforce health and safety rules.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Environment:</span> Respect and enforce environmental policies.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Information security:</span> Respect and enforce information security policies</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Energy: </span>Respect and enforce the policy of reducing energy consumption.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REQUIREMENTS</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Education and experience</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical Design Engineering experience (E.g. Electrical, Mechanical, Architectural, ICT, Civil/Structural Engineering)</li>\n<li>More than 5 years’ experience in data centres</li>\n<li>Proven experience leading multi-discipline design scopes across campus and data hall infrastructure (masterplanning through detailed design).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Technical skills </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Data centre engineering and delivery constraints: CSA / MEP design integration, Controls, networks (as relevant to DC infrastructure), and power substation interfaces</li>\n<li>Ability to make technical decisions based on Data4 product, Clients and site specific requirements. Coordination with SME’s as needed for specific deviations and high level expertise.</li>\n<li>Commissioning concepts, protocol definition and execution readiness</li>\n<li>Ability to define and validate equipment technical requirements, specifications and vendor submittals.</li>\n<li>Understanding of balanced commercial objectives of a data centre masterplanning - Ability to optimise designs against performance metrics (including PUE/WUE), MaxIT capacity, risk and speed.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to combine technical and business skills to propose the right balance between technical specifications, cost, , speed SLAs and supply chain availability / delivery lead time.</li>\n<li>Cross functional management experience with a mid-size team</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Behavioral skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good communication skills</li>\n<li>Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills</li>\n<li>Structured problem-solving</li>\n<li>Makes and owns decisions</li>\n<li>Rigour, and a quality-first mindset</li>\n</ul>",
