Description

Salary: USD 150,000–165,000 Description What you'll do: Provide technical direction and support during the development, construction, commissioning, and operation of renewable energy assets. Ensure all projects meet design standards and maintain high quality engineering designs. Collaborate with customers, utilities, AHJs, and third party consultants to support the design and engineering of complex projects. Stay abreast of industry developments, new project requirements, and emerging trends to inform project strategies. Share technical knowledge by coordinating with cross functional teams throughout various project phases. Deliver design, modeling, and technical support from initial customer solution designs through to successful project implementation and operation. Model and optimize engineering designs, review engineering studies (load flow and short circuit analysis), create networking designs for site communication to meet project specifications and regulatory standards. Create preliminary 1 line for projects in development to depict equipment sizing and interconnection topologies. Provide technical support to O&M team for operational systems. Requirements Who you are: BSEE with a passion for power systems and renewable energy or equivalent experience. 5+ years of relevant experience in power generation including MV distribution systems. Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure, codes, and standards. Experience with Battery storage systems (BESS) with or without PV projects coupled. Knowledge on Interconnection Application requirement in multiple ISOs. Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions. Collaborative and able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. A lifelong learner committed to staying ahead of the curve in the rapidly evolving renewable energy landscape. Requirements: At least 5 years of professional experience working in the renewables and environment industry, with a focus on developing and implementing solutions that accelerate the energy transition. Familiarity of renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency measures. Experience with energy generation technologies including one or more of the following: solar, wind, battery storage, geothermal, biomass, fuel cells, EV charging. Working autonomously on deadline driven projects, your strong analytical and problem solving skills will ensure on time delivery to stakeholders. Effectively manage multiple projects, consulting engineers and vendors, negotiate contracts and oversee schedules of deliverables Ability to travel to client sites as needed. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program. Recommended extras Professional Engineering license, EIT or PE track. Field experience commissioning distributed generation equipment. Experience designing distributed generation, isochronous grids.
