WRVA and WRNL, “Sport Radio 910 the Fan” in Richmond, Virginia has a rare opening for a Part Time Board Operator/Producer and On Air Personality. 2026 will be an unbelievable year in news, politics and sports, so come and be a part of a legendary radio station in one of America’s coolest cities. You’ll be working with an experienced Major Market management team as well as an outstanding support staff. We are always searching for talented individuals who are passionate about joining our dynamic team. This is an evergreen job posting, which we refresh approximately every 90 days to maintain an active pool of candidates. While we may not have an immediate opening, we continuously build connections with professionals interested in future opportunities. Responsibilities Job responsibilities: Run the control board, following station format, arranging and playing commercials and IDs according to program and commercial logs as well as produce talk shows, sporting events, and on-site broadcasts Candidates must demonstrate the ability to collaborate on story ideas and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Candidates must be detail oriented and cool under the pressure of meeting tight deadlines. Collaborate with newsroom staff Create original content and perform live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative Participate and create original content for all social media platforms; manage online personality presence Must be willing to work a schedule that will include holidays, nights, overnights, and/or weekends. Follow all applicable laws and FCC regulations. Other duties as required by management PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and/or fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Position requires ability to manipulate knobs, levers and push buttons.
