    "description": "<p>The Ranish Group is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to conduct research investigating</p>\n<p>the transcriptional regulatory mechanisms underlying hematopoietic stem cell differentiation and how</p>\n<p>defects in the process lead to diseases such leukemia and b-thalassemia. To accomplish this goal, the lab</p>\n<p>is developing mass spectrometry-based technologies to quantify the transcription factor proteome in</p>\n<p>purified populations of differentiating erythroid cells. The data is being integrated with other</p>\n<p>transcription-relevant -omics data to model the transcriptional regulatory networks underlying</p>\n<p>hematopoiesis. The models are then used to guide experiments to understand how specific transcription</p>\n<p>factors drive cell fate decisions. The successful applicant will be expected to design, execute, analyze,</p>\n<p>and troubleshoot the experiments.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This position is contingent upon funding expected to be received around July 2026.  </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Key responsibilities include </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Development and application of mass spectrometry-based proteomics technologies</li>\n<li>Recombinant protein expression and purification</li>\n<li>Molecular biology assays</li>\n<li>Discuss and present research at internal meetings</li>\n<li>Manuscript preparation</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Qualifications: </p>\n<ul>\n<li>PhD in analytical chemistry or biomedical sciences (i.e., molecular/cellular biology or</li>\n</ul>\n<p>biochemistry)</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong interest in mass spectrometry-based proteomics and gene regulation</li>\n<li>Ability to organize and prioritize work, work efficiently and independently</li>\n<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>All ISB staff members are expected to have baseline technical skills and the ability to communicate</p>\n<p>effectively and appropriately over email, the intranet/forum, etc.  Employees should be able to use</p>\n<p>Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint at a functional level.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Benefits information:   <a href=\"https://isbscience.org/careers/benefits/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https://isbscience.org/careers/benefits/</a></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Expected annual pay is $80,169</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>ISB is a D/V/EOE.</p>",
