This is your chance to be part of a dynamic and innovative team of professionals who work hard to ensure the best possible experience for all of our residents and visitors. We take a lot of pride in what we do, and we want you to join us in working together to make our great public services even better.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist with tasks associated with the Community Safety and Well-Being Plan, including action items requiring data management involving collection, verification of data.</li>\n<li>Work with datasets, such as service maps from sectors such as health, justice, social service, etc. to create an unified product.</li>\n<li>Using new technologies such as AI systems to assist with tasks.</li>\n<li>Conduct a gap analysis of programs currently available for victims and perpetrators of violence. This includes liaising with organizations, and performing focus groups as needed.</li>\n<li>Attend meetings when required.</li>\n<li>Additionally, this position will assist with research, and document creation as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must be a full-time student in the 2025-26 school year at a secondary or post-secondary education institution and be returning to school full-time for the 2026-27 school season. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Possess good communication skills with ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. </span></li>\n<li>Able to work independently. </li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Excellent customer service skills &amp; interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with the public with tact and diplomacy. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Must be willing to work a variety of shifts including some weekends, evenings, and holidays. </span></li>\n<li>Interest in public service and systems improvement.</li>\n<li>Comfortable with software programs like Microsoft Excel.</li>\n<li>Must have valid G2 or G Class Driver's License</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Overview: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>The basis for the work for the position comes from the Kenora CSWB Plan, specifically Action 1.1 (a) and (b) and Action 6.1.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Action 1.1 </span></p>\n<p>Organize a series of collaboration summit(s) with the following expected outcomes:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>(a) The community of Kenora will have a “No Wrong Door” approach for all health and social services to help ensure effective triaging.</li>\n<li>(b) The community of Kenora will have a community services map that visually represents the available resources and services within the community and provides a transparent and accessible system of accountability where programs and services are clearly linked to measurable outcomes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Action 6.1</span></p>\n<p>For the Prevention of Interpersonal Violence theme, it was recognized that a gap analysis for this work was needed, which is why Action 6.1 was created:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct a gap analysis to assess what programs are currently available in Kenora for victims and perpetrators of violence, what preventive efforts exist, and utilize that knowledge for program and policy development.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hours:</span>         35 hours per week. Varying shifts</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Rate:</span>            $23.00/hr</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Students will be required to provide the City with proof of enrolment if successful in a summer position with the City of Kenora.<a href=\"mailto:[email protected]\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span></a></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Please be advised, the City of Kenora may use email to communicate with their applicants for open job competitions.
