Overview Headquartered in Old Saybrook, CT, Infiltrator Water Technologies is the leading provider of engineered plastic chambers, synthetic aggregates, tanks, advanced wastewater treatment systems, and accessories for the onsite/decentralized wastewater and storm water management industries. The majority of Infiltrator products are manufactured from recycled plastic. Founded in 1987, we operate throughout the US and Canada with 8 manufacturing plants in the US, dedicated sales, and corporate team members. Infiltrator is a pioneer in innovative plastic technologies for underground water management. Infiltrator components are used in most onsite septic systems installed in the United States and Canada. Infiltrator is a proud Corporate Partner of Habitat for Humanity and each year donates components for 50 septic systems serving Habitat homes in North America. Infiltrator is committed to advancing the state of the art in all fronts, including product design, manufacturing, materials, wastewater science, marketing, management, and employee development. Responsibilities POSITION OVERVIEW: The Senior Accountant will perform and manage the dally accounting processes that support the month-end close, ensuring the integrity of financial data and adherence to generally accepted accounting principles. Success In this role depends on strong financial systems and application skills, solid analytical abilities, effective communication, the ability to prioritize workload, and a willingness to take initiative. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: • Supporting the monthly, quarterly, and year financial close cycle, including preparing various journal entries • Manage monthly financial reporting including balance sheet analytics, cashflow statement, capital expenditures • Prepare, oversee and reconcile various balance sheet reconciliations within Blackline system in accordance with company policy and SOX compliance • Complete monthly support for Deferred Sales, Rebate accrual, Intangible assets, Prepaid expenses, and Other Liabilities. • Budget to Actual Analysis of SG&A spend • Assist in preparing Internal and external auditor requests throughout the year • Ensure company compliance with Sales & Use and property tax requirements • Support various accounting projects to help optimize process efficiencies • Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested QUALIFICATIONS (must have): BS in Accounting 4-5 years of experience in Accounting field -Must demonstrate ability to identify and implement process improvements, be a self-starter, and effectively interact and communicate across multiple functions within the organization. -Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail -Must have strong communication (oral and written) and relationship building skllls. -Must be proficient in the use of Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products QUALIFICATIONS (beneficial}: -Experience in manufacturing environment preferred -Experience with JD Edwards software system a plus Company Benefits: Health & Welfare Benefits: Medical and prescription drug plans, telemedicine (with medical plan), High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) and Health Savings Account (HSA), dental and vision plans, virtual physical therapy*, an employee assistance program (EAP)*, and voluntary accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnification programs.
