Description

Overview Effectively implements work assigned and ensures the quality of those parts. Requires knowledge, skill and ability to perform and fill in for any position on the production line and can perform equipment setup. Responsibilities Responsible for product quality, workmanship and process applications consistent with the company’s manufacturing objectives. Follows safety guidelines and monitors use of safety devices, equipment, departmental housekeeping, and maintain constant alert for hazardous conditions. Maintain conformance with Company work rules and regulations. Trained and certified for all welding operations, methods and processes. Operational and Setup knowledge of automated and robotic weld cells. The ability to restart robots and automated equipment from minor errors. Operational and Setup knowledge of resistance welders. Knowledgeable on Welding Specification requirements, print reading, and weld evaluation techniques. Weld process, automated fixture and machine trouble shooting skills. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent education and experience. Prefer a minimum of 3 year experience in a preparatory position of similar work. Must be able to use scales and measurement instruments, and maintain quality inspection records. Must be able to pass all welder certifications required for the department. Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and ability to key critical data into CMS with accuracy and thoroughness. Certificates and Licenses: None Supervisory Responsibilities: None required Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration.
