We focus on the implementation, customisation, and development of Treasury and Trading technology solutions.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Role Description</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">As the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Lead Cloud/Platform Engineer</span>, you will be the cornerstone of our infrastructure strategy, responsible for driving the technical vision, design, and deployment across our high-performance platforms. This role has a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">strong focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS)</span> but also involves managing other core infrastructure elements (including on-premise and third-party integrations). You will lead by example, guiding and mentoring technical teams, establishing best practices for <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)</span>, and ensuring our environment is secure, scalable, and highly available. Your leadership will be crucial in accelerating our product delivery and operational efficiency. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following (but not be limited to):</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Platform Strategy and Architectural Leadership:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Lead the development and implementation of the overall infrastructure strategy, with a focus on designing and deploying solutions that adhere to AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Drive the solution design process, including the creation of technical specifications and architectural blueprints for highly available, resilient, and scalable systems on AWS and hybrid platforms.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Consult on all aspects of AWS and other cloud infrastructure offerings (e.g., Google cloud) to ensure optimal service selection, cost optimization, and adherence to established standards.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Establish and enforce cloud security standards, procedures, and controls across the platform, managing identified Information and Cyber Security vulnerabilities and risks.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Technical Execution and Governance:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Engineer, manage, and support codified cloud infrastructure stacks (using IaC) that meet the needs of application engineering teams.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Manage shared cloud infrastructure services such as AWS, local services providers, and in-house infrastructure (e.g., on Nutanix).</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Oversee day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for all platform elements, including operating systems and servers.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Develop and implement a schedule of system backups, database archive operations, and comprehensive data/media recoverability solutions.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Act as the technical gatekeeper for new requests, allocating tasks and driving the day-to-day management of the Platform Services team.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Mentorship and Operational Excellence:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Provide hands-on technical coaching and mentorship to accelerate cloud infrastructure learnings and adoption across the organisation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Lead optimisation and enhancement initiatives for current systems, ensuring the platform remains at the forefront of innovation.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Manage monthly patch and maintenance planning, along with comprehensive monitoring and reporting across the environment.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\">Develop, implement, and promote standard operating procedures, policies, and configuration guidelines for the platform.</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Minimum Requirements:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: helvetica; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Experience</span>: 5 to 7+ years of proven, hands-on experience in a Software/Platform/Cloud Engineering role, with significant time spent on architecting and managing scalable infrastructure.
