    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><strong>MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></span></p><ol style=\"padding-left: 24px;\"><li><p>Performs laboratory tests and reports results with the appropriate documentation, in a timely, efficient and accurate manner in compliance with laboratory policies and procedures.<span>&nbsp; </span>Validates test results in the Laboratory Information System in order for accurate reports to be generated for physician review. In some instances, may enter data directly into the computer system.</p><p>&nbsp;</p></li><li>Performs all LIS functions relative to the scope of her/his responsibility to include worklists, outstanding reports, patient registration, etc.</li><li>Performs quality control for all testing and assures that results meet established criteria before releasing test results.<span>&nbsp; </span>Recognizes factors that may affect measurements and results and takes appropriate action.</li><li>Reports low supply inventory to appropriate staff.<span>&nbsp; </span>Ensures uninterrupted testing by informing appropriate personnel when supplies fall below par level.</li><li>Recognizes instrument or equipment failures and evaluates problem. Takes appropriate action to troubleshoot or to contact internal or external individuals for corrective action.&nbsp;</li><li>Prepares samples appropriately for testing. According to laboratory protocol prepares and labels stains, reagents, and stock solutions used in the processing of specimens. Maintains glassware and other materials necessary for the performance of clinical laboratory tests.</li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">May be required to operate a blood irradiator requiring FBI security clearance.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\">Must work under the direction of a coordinator or manager.&nbsp;</span></li></ol><p style=\"margin-left: 45pt; text-indent: -27pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt;\"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:</strong></span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 72px;\"><li><p>ASCP eligible or equivalent registry eligible AMT, NCA or CLS.</p></li><li><p>Student in approved MLT or MLS or Trainee program will be considered.</p></li><li><p>Requires knowledge of principles and practices of laboratory science and computer skills.</p></li><li><p>May require an FBI check prior to beginning employment.<span>&nbsp; </span>The results of the aforementioned check must deem the individual Trustworthy and Reliable.</p></li></ul><h2 style=\"margin-left: 0in; text-indent: 0in;\">&nbsp;</h2>",
