The RN practices in a safe and proficient manner, always keeping our policies and procedures and the individual patient&rsquo;s needs in mind. &nbsp;The RN provides direct and indirect patient centered care to women and their support people under the guidance of the supervising physician, nurses, and the manager.</p><p>The RN is responsible for assisting within the scope of practice outlined by the Medical Director at our facility. They should maintain a level of professionalism in regards to interactions with colleagues, staff, and patients at all times. RN&rsquo;s are encouraged to promote utilization of resources and initiate improvements. &nbsp;The RN plays an integral role in the aspects of patient and staff safety, and needs to have a basic working knowledge of charting, documentation and Risk Management issues. &nbsp;</p><p>The RN should be a dependable asset to the practice demonstrating an exemplary role in the aspects of punctuality, attendance, accountability, initiative, positive attitude, and team support.</p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong><u>Essential Functions</u></strong></p><p><strong>Clinical Services - Gynecological Care:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Assist in health screenings such as pap smears, pelvic exams, breast checks, STI screening.</li><li>Counsel patients regarding birth control options, including diaphragms and IUDs. Follow up as appropriate.</li><li>Counsel, educate, and provide resources on women&rsquo;s health issues.</li><li>Provide counseling for gynecological problems such as infection, abnormal bleeding, or abnormal pap results.</li></ul><p><strong>Clinical Services - Abortion Care:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Dispensing Mifepristone or Misoprostol under MD orders as per the Whole Woman&#39;s Health medical abortion protocol.</li><li>Assisting the MD in Medical Abortion care visits.</li><li>Performing ultrasounds, assisting in surgery or aftercare.</li><li>Follow up visits for patients experiencing post-abortion problems.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Experience and General Requirements</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Possess a current RN license in the state the position is located;</li><li>2+years&rsquo; nursing experience as a licensed RN and/or LPN;</li><li>1+ years&rsquo; experience as a Women&rsquo;s Health Nurse, Family Practice Nurse, or relevant Women&rsquo;s Health specialty;</li><li>Certification in Basic Life Support;</li><li>Ideal candidate will be Bilingual &ndash; English and Spanish.&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>Required Continuing Education/Training:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Certification in Basic Life Support, biannually</li><li>Training in the recognition of the cardiovascular and respiratory effects of sedatives, as well as the variability of patient response, annually</li><li>Training in/knowledge of emergency supplies, their inventory, their location in the office, and their use.</li><li>Training in/knowledge of the pharmacology of the medications administered.</li><li>Training in/knowledge of OSHA regulations, PPE, and occupational exposure protocols, annually</li></ul><p><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><strong><u>Physical Requirements</u></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must possess the ability and capability to perform any task in the office.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must have excellent visual and hearing acuity.</li></ul><p><br></p></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>Compensation/Benefits</u></strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">A competitive salary, commensurate with experience.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">401(k) plan with a 3% company match.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Flexible work hours and family support programs</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Additional perks, including employee discounts, and virtual team-building activities.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">A culture/environment that is diverse, stimulating, and comprised of passionate and dedicated people.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><br></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><u>Please note that this is a working job description that may evolve as the needs of the company change.</u></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><em>Whole Woman&rsquo;s Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we welcome applications from women, people of color, and members of the LBGTQIA+ community.
