Join the Consumer and Community Banking, Chase Branded Cards CFO Team and help increase profitability and efficiencies for the Sapphire portfolio!
As an Associate in the Chase Branded Cards CFO team, you will be responsible for partnering across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, budgeting, forecasting and other wide range of activities including financial control, analysis of financial / business metrics, periodic management reporting, and advising the line of business CFOs and business partners on how to increase profitability and efficiencies. You will partner closely with key finance teams and business partners to deliver against strategic and financial objectives. You will gain exposure to the credit cards and payments industry including business strategy, competitive landscape, product offerings and rewards structures, economics, P&L drivers while gaining exposure to Chase’s overall consumer strategies. Job Responsibilities
Develop working relationships and providing financial decision support to business unit General Managers and their teams through weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting, projects and ad hoc analysis that provide insights into portfolio, product, and customer behavior
Analyze financial results and forecasts to provide recommendations on performance to finance and business clients and stakeholders
Create and maintain multi-year financial models, assessing the impact of strategic decisions and trade-offs on the P&L
Develop financial business cases to support various initiatives
Be responsible for socialization and submission of budget and technology book of work
Prepare senior management presentations to help drive strategy
Partner closely with Analytics and Finance teams, including Planning and Analysis, CCAR Forecasting, and Investment Valuation teams
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related subject
2+ years of work experience with a Finance, Planning & Analysis or Accounting/Controller background
Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
Proven track record for executing on special projects / assignments, often with little lead time or information
Team player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner for the Business, Finance, and Planning and Analysis Teams
Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely
Highly motivated self-starter with excellent time management/prioritization skills
Inquisitive, enthusiastic, diligent, and capable of challenging peers
Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
Ability to create ad hoc reporting for senior management
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
