    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p>This is highly skilled position requiring mechanical and electrical work in the maintenance and repair of light to medium duty packaging and processing equipment, including building equipment. Project entail the maintenance and building of conveyors, blowers, sifters, burners, grinders, conventional and high-speed packaging machines, labeling and printing equipment, vacuum and hydraulic pumps, forklifts, and air compressors.</p><p>The person in this role will work independently, with minimal supervision applying mechanical/electrical knowledge and considerable independent judgment in the repair, overhaul, and remanufacturing of plant equipment.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Job Duties:</strong></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Inspect, repair, and perform overhauls on mechanical drives/motors, pneumatic and hydraulic components, motor control center devices, transport conveyor systems, and rotating, cutting, and grinding equipment&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Troubleshoot, repair, and conduct performance testing of production machinery</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility machinery</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Troubleshoot and repair motor control centers, electromechanical drives, and sub-electrical panels utilizing volt and amp meters</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision instruments to determine working clearances on mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Identify proper materials required for repairs such as how to measure belts, chain, and fasteners and fill out order forms as required</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Perform machine shop duties such as general metal fabrication, welding, and machining</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>establish work orders and requisition/order parts</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Requisition shop supplies and equipment such as replacement parts, hardware, lubricants, tools, testing instruments&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Provide technical input to write and maintain standard operating procedures and job safety analysts</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Complete daily maintenance and repair logs</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Perform related work as assigned or required</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Requirements:</strong></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Basic mechanical and electrical skills within a manufacturing or industrial environment required</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must have acquired vocational/technical certifications, hands-on training or completion of apprenticeship program(s) and/or completed military training programs with work-related experience</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Associate Degree or 1-2 years of experience desired</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required; high school diploma or equivalent work experience</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must have excellent communication skills--both verbally and written</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Demonstrated ability to identify basic mechanical and electrical parts</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Proven ability to perform basic computer applications such as Word and Outlook</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Proof of previous fork truck driving experience a plus</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Food Safety Requirements and Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must comply with all Federal, State, Corporate, Warehouse and Food Safety standards, policies, and guidelines (i.e. HACCP, GMP, SQF, FDA, etc.)</p><p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must be willing and able to frequently lift 25 lbs.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must be willing and able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment</p><p>Equal Opportunity Employer: disability / veteran.
