The Maintenance Worker is responsible for identifying and addressing repair needs promptly to prevent operational disruptions and extend the lifespan of building infrastructure. This role requires a proactive approach to general maintenance, ensuring all facilities meet health and safety standards while supporting a clean and welcoming environment for occupants and visitors. Ultimately, the Maintenance Worker contributes to the overall efficiency and appearance of the property, supporting the organization&rsquo;s commitment to quality and professionalism.</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>1 year or more of HVAC experience</li><li>Proven experience in general maintenance work within commercial buildings or similar environments.</li><li>Basic knowledge and hands-on experience in janitorial duties, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, and landscaping.</li><li>Ability to safely operate heavy equipment relevant to maintenance tasks.</li><li>Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Certification or training in specific trades such as plumbing, carpentry, or heavy equipment operation preferred.</li><li>Experience with preventive maintenance programs and safety compliance standards.</li><li>Familiarity with commercial building systems such as electrical or security systems.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and clean driving record.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, or maintenance documentation.</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Perform routine janitorial duties such as cleaning, waste removal, and maintaining sanitary conditions in commercial buildings.</li><li>Conduct masonry and carpentry repairs including patching walls, fixing doors, and constructing or repairing fixtures as needed.</li><li>Carry out plumbing maintenance and repairs including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and ensuring proper functioning of water systems.</li><li>Operate and maintain heavy equipment safely for tasks such as groundskeeping, snow removal, or material transport.</li><li>Inspect building systems and infrastructure regularly to identify maintenance needs and report or address issues promptly.</li><li>Assist with general maintenance tasks to support building operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations.</li></ul><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>General Maintenance and troubleshooting on HVAC systems</li><li>Able to use tools of trade; ohmmeter, ampmeter, Freon gauges used to troubleshoot equipment</li><li>Able to lift heavy loads safely</li><li>Ladder safety, maintenance uses ladders for bulb changing and working on ceilings and above ceilings</li><li>Must have driver&rsquo;s license and clean records for use of hospital truck; used to pick up supplies, trips to other hospitals</li><li>Capable to take over department in the absence of director</li><li>Will be on rotating 24hr on call</li><li>Able to move offices when needed</li></ul><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><p>The required skills enable the Maintenance Worker to perform a diverse range of tasks essential for building upkeep and repair.
