The incumbent champions the implementation of best practices in maintenance and operational excellence in support of continuous reliability improvement.<br><br>The person in this position:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>Manages the efficient execution of all maintenance and repair activities.</span></li><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>Communicates and applies expert knowledge in the areas of proactive maintenance management.</span></li><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>Develops, presents, recommends, selects and coordinates training for plant personnel at all levels, as appropriate, regarding equipment and process reliability.</span></li><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>Supports the efficient utilization of the Company's Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) System and ensures its use as a key management information tool.</span></li><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>Prepares budgets and implementation plans for reliability improvement efforts and maintenance repair expenditures (including the identification of outside resources when appropriate).</span></li><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>Works closely with the Manager of Plant Engineering and other plant personnel to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, statues, codes, and regulations as well as internal Company policies.</span></li></ul><p class=\"xmsonormal\">&nbsp;</p><p class=\"xmsonormal\"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong><br><u>Required</u></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>A strong pattern of initiative.</span></li><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>Highly developed leadership skills.</span></li><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills.</span></li><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>Excellent organization and project management skills.</span></li><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.</span></li><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.</span></li><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>Ability to prioritize and balance many tasks simultaneously.</span></li><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>Previously obtained CMRP&nbsp;(Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) or ability to achieve certification in 18 months or less.</span></li><li>Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.</li><li>Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.</li></ul><p class=\"xmsonormal\"><u>Preferred</u></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>A bachelor's degree in engineering or another technical field.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>Minimum seven years’ experience in a Maintenance Engineer, Staff Engineer, or similar engineering role</span></li><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>Successful completion of Dale Carnegie 36-hour leadership or similar leadership training course.</span></li><li class=\"xmsonormal\"><span>Achievement of the CARO certification and a working knowledge of Ammonia PSM requirements.</span></li></ul><p class=\"xmsonormal\">&nbsp;</p><p><strong>LOCATION/SHIFT:</strong>&nbsp;Osceola, IA</p><ul><li><p>Day shift: 6:00am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday, weekends as needed</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Relocation is offered to eligible candidates.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p><strong>BENEFITS:&nbsp;</strong>Hormel Foods offers an excellent benefits package.
