Employees at the&nbsp;senior level of this job family are recognized as subject matter experts. &nbsp;They lead by example, educate&nbsp;and direct others on technical subject matters and are responsible for solving highly complex problems&nbsp;and managing highly complex projects.&nbsp;&nbsp;At this level the Project Manager is expected to manage any project in the portfolio with guidance as needed from the Manager.&nbsp; Projects assigned will progress in complexity and variety to facilitate acquiring a breadth of knowledge and experience to become a&nbsp;subject matter expert.</p>\n<p><br/>This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [FEU]<br/>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>FirstEnergy takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location.&nbsp; In addition, your actual base salary will depend on various factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience.</strong></p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>The estimated pay range for this role is $108,800- $153,600.&nbsp; The pay range for certain locations, including the state of New Jersey, include a 20% differential to account for an increased cost of living, making the pay range $130,560- $184,320.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p><br/><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong><br/><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Reviewing Project documents for clarity and completeness - examples include contracts, requisitions, Bills of Material or Material Requests for Issue, Task Authorizations, and Engineering Work Requests.</li>\n <li>Reviewing Project and contract budgets for adequacy, completeness, and other requirements&nbsp;and assuring that required budgets exist and Project budget revisions are initiated if required.</li>\n <li>Focusing on ensuring that proper change management and application integration activities are&nbsp;included in the Project plan and monitoring the Project to ensure the planned tasks are completed.</li>\n <li>Coordinating with Business Services personnel to prepare capital expenditure authorizations and associated Project budget revisions.</li>\n <li>Providing the Management Sponsor with Project status (scope, budget and schedule progress)&nbsp;and identification of issues requiring management involvement for resolution.</li>\n <li>Obtaining concurrence (or buy-in) from affected departments to support the proposed schedule&nbsp;and resource requirements.&nbsp; Reviewing and approving of Project Plans.</li>\n <li>Validating that Project estimates are appropriately developed and that contingency is correctly&nbsp;applied.</li>\n <li>Ensuring the tactical and strategic plan alignment of the Project.</li>\n <li>Monitoring and / or reporting contractor resource levels.</li>\n <li>Ensuring adequacy of Project Team membership and participation.&nbsp; Responsible for overseeing&nbsp;the activities of consultants and contractors.</li>\n <li>Understanding the terms of the contract and associated documentation of services under the&nbsp;contract/purchase order.&nbsp; Upon mobilization to the site, reviews applicable topics delineated in&nbsp;the Service Contractor Orientation / Evaluation Checklist with the contractor.</li>\n <li>Responsible for the quality assurance and control program, including identification of quality&nbsp;requirements, responsibility for QA program (Energy Delivery's or Contractor's program) and if&nbsp;required, review and approval process for contractor provided procedures.</li>\n <li>Communicating Project goals, priorities and decisions to the Region / Corporate Leadership&nbsp;Team.</li>\n <li>Ensuring Project challenge meetings, peer reviews and assessments are performed.</li>\n <li>Working with Portfolio Management and / or Work Management personnel to develop and&nbsp;update the Project schedule.</li>\n <li>Identifying and notifying the Project Team of additional resources or requirements necessary to&nbsp;meet the Project scope or schedule.</li>\n <li>Ensuring the documentation, scheduling and disposition of open items applicable to&nbsp;department's area of functional responsibility.</li>\n <li>Coordinating the close-out and lessons-learned documentation applicable to the Project; Audit&nbsp;completed projects to evaluate whether identified objectives and benefits have been realized or&nbsp;establish a time table of benefit realization.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications&nbsp;include:</strong><br/><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Construction Management or related field is required.&nbsp; Minimum of 8&nbsp;years’ related experience required.&nbsp; In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to applicants having 12&nbsp;years related experience or 8&nbsp;years transmission experience.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Related experience includes project organization, engineering, finance, construction, project management, planning or project controls.</li>\n <li>Strong project management skills are required with a demonstrated ability to develop, manage and control multiple tasks.</li>\n <li>Experience with a project management tool such as Primavera, MS Project, etc. with related Scheduling / Resource Planning expertise is a plus.</li>\n <li>Detailed Project Controls experience is a definite plus.</li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical ability are required.</li>\n <li>Successful candidate must be a team player and possess a willingness to work in a team environment.<br/><strong>&nbsp;</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits, Compensation &amp;
