    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>As a Lead Systems Engineer with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead a team of talented, and experienced engineers on new and ongoing projects</li>\n <li>Engage in hands-on technical work alongside the engineering team</li>\n <li>Perform direct technical troubleshooting and problem resolution in systems and infrastructure</li>\n <li>Coordinate with government engineers teams to ensure continuous operations</li>\n <li>Ensure continuous integration and deployment of projects updates</li>\n <li>Oversee day-to-day operations supporting the customer's acquisition support mission</li>\n <li>Manage personnel development and complete performance appraisals of AMERICAN SYSTEMS employees</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Active Secret Clearance </li>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience OR PhD and 2+ years of experience</li>\n <li>Technical experience supporting Information Assurance/Cybersecurity </li>\n <li>Leadership experience</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience communicating with senior level customers </li>\n <li>Strong working knowledge of virtual computing including VMware</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of Test Plans and Development Plans</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Pay Transparency Statement</h2>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $120,000.00/Yr. - USD $130,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
