Description

Description MidAmerican Energy Company is seeking a student currently enrolled in a college or university program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. As a Release Management Intern, you will be a part of the corporate applications team and gain exposure to a variety of projects and activities within the energy industry and technology. This position is temporary, nonexempt, and full-time/hourly during the summer, with the potential to continue on a part-time/hourly basis throughout the academic year. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Assist with planning, scheduling, and communicating software releases across multiple platforms Support release managers in maintaining release calendars, deployment schedules, and change documentation Help prepare and distribute release communications, including release schedules, deployment notifications, and post release updates Participate in change management processes, including Change Advisory Board (CAB) preparation and documentation support Monitor release completion and assist with post‑release reporting Assist with daily data cleanup and maintenance activities within Azure DevOps Perform data entry, reporting, and metrics tracking for release performance and compliance Update standard operating procedures, workflows, and lessons learned Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and improvement opportunities Provide general administrative and operational support to the Release Management team as needed Qualifications Qualifications Currently enrolled in a college or university program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow defined processes and procedures Basic understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile, or DevOps concepts (preferred but not required) Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, or Power Automate) is a plus Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
