    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">INTRODUCTION</span><span>:</span></p>\n<p>Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are currently seeking a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Commissionaire</span> to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Your commitment to serving the needs of our clients and employees will encourage client and employee loyalty and enhance our organization’s success.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure access control policies and procedures are followed and client property is secured</li>\n<li>Monitor CCTV cameras</li>\n<li>Maintain positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients</li>\n<li>Complete site reporting requirements, daily logs and written reports</li>\n<li>Maintain high standards of personal appearance and deportment</li>\n<li>Maintain effective communication</li>\n<li>Respond to alarms and calls for assistance</li>\n<li>Provide assistance to employees, clients and visitors</li>\n<li>Regular interior and exterior foot patrols</li>\n<li>Enforce the Trespass to Property Act when required.</li>\n<li>Complete patrol and incident reports utilizing reporting software, and paper reports as required.</li>\n<li>Sign visitors in and out along with ID checks</li>\n<li>Report concerns or complaints received to Supervisor or Manager</li>\n<li>Perform 'stand downs' at client locations to ensure continuity of guard service, as requested by supervisor or manager.</li>\n<li>Be available to adjust schedule as required to accommodate the needs of the team.</li>\n<li>Undertake all training assigned to you in a timely fashion.</li>\n<li>Maintain professionalism at all times, during all interactions.</li>\n<li>Liaise with Police, Fire, EMS as appropriate during incidents.</li>\n<li>Operate company patrol vehicle in accordance with company policy and HTA regulations.</li>\n<li>Other duties as may be required by the client or site supervisor</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><br></span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US</span>:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">*MUST*  </span><span>Valid </span>Ontario Security Guard License</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">*MUST* </span>Valid WSIB accredited First Aid and CPR certificate<br></li>\n<li><span>*<span style=\"font-weight: bold\">MUST</span>*</span><span> </span>Have the ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance (resident in Canada 10 years or longer, clean record, clean credit history) </li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Security Clearance Requirement: </span></span><span>Reliable upgradeable to Secret</span><span> </span><br></li>\n<li>The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential</li>\n<li>High attention to detail</li>\n<li>Customer service</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WHAT THE JOB OFFERS YOU</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Job type: Spare</li>\n<li>Hourly Rate of Pay: Based on assignment</li>\n<li>Hours of work: Various (Flexible availability)<br></li>\n<li>Location: CFB Borden, Borden, Ontario</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WHAT WE OFFER YOU</span>:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medical and Dental</li>\n<li>Employee assistance program</li>\n<li>Family Assistance program</li>\n<li>Coaching and counselling support</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WHAT WE EXPECT FROM OUR COMMSSIONAIRES</span>:</p>\n<p>As a front-line representative of our company and client’s site you must be highly reliable, work well under pressure, able to work with minimal supervision, have the ability to multitask and be a professional who takes pride in your dress, deportment and performance at all times.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">We would like to thank all those who apply, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is fully committed to abiding by all equal opportunity employment standards.
