    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\">TMB has an exciting opportunity to prepare you to become part of a highly skilled workforce to create a career pathway into the U.S. Navy Finance competency.&nbsp;</p><p>Our Apprenticeship program offers a training strategy that prepares individuals with skills to compete in today&rsquo;s economy. During the 1-year Financial Apprenticeship, apprentices are assigned with a Business Financial Manager (BFM) of a Ship Program Office or a mentor in the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Comptroller&rsquo;s office who will be instrumental in providing their firsthand knowledge and experience, follow a training curriculum and give hands on training and experience of what Financial Analysts do for the Navy, and act as a sounding board relating to career goals and development in becoming a Financial Analyst. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Upon completing the 1-year apprenticeship, an individual may be offered an opportunity to join the team as a full-time Financial Analyst.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>The Financial Analyst Apprentice shall provide on-demand timely professional support services to the Navy Shipbuilding Program Offices within PEO Ships or the Comptroller&rsquo;s office at NAVSEA in Washington, DC starting the summer of 2026.&nbsp;</li><li>The Apprentice will be exposed to PEO Ships/NAVSEA financial management and the DoD/Navy budget process, learn financial management competencies, develop skill sets that will provide value to the program offices/NAVSEA and contribute to the workforce.</li><li>Gain access and pull financial data from Navy financial management systems (e.g., ERP, NEPS, REMIS, RDOCS, PDOCS, PBIS)&nbsp;</li><li>Perform data extractions and build program office tools to visualize, manipulate, and integrate data from Navy financial management systems like monthly burn rate, etc. (obligation, expenditure, budgets, funding, etc.)&nbsp;</li><li>Assist in budget preparations that are submitted to the Navy, Office of the Secretary of Defense, and the President&rsquo;s Budget&nbsp;</li><li>Analyze and compile monthly financial reports and other financial/contract reports&nbsp;</li><li>Support and respond to customer financial inquire and data calls&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with managing appropriation areas as well as providing cost engineering and industrial analysis.&nbsp;</li><li>Administrative tasks such as forensic accounting support, reviewing financial reports and documents for any discrepancies, errors, and modifications &bull; Interface with the government customers and other contractors</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferably in an area related to Finance, Business, or Accounting or military experience with an honorable service discharge preferred</li><li>This is an entry level position. &nbsp;</li><li>Requires U.S. Citizenship&nbsp;</li><li>Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one&nbsp;</li><li>Some professional experience including finance internships preferred&nbsp;</li><li>MS Suite Skills &ndash; Specifically Power Point, Word, and Excel&nbsp;</li><li>Proactive and excellent customer service&nbsp;</li><li>Relocation assistance not offered&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p>TMB currently offers the following employee benefits:</p><ul><li>Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance</li><li>Flexible Spending Accounts for Medical, Dependent Care, Qualified Transportation Expense, and Non-Employer Sponsored Plans</li><li>Life and AD&amp;D Insurance</li><li>Short- and Long-Term Disability coverage</li><li>Paid Holidays</li><li>Paid Time Off (PTO)</li><li>Several defined contribution retirement plans including a 401(K) and Employee Stock Ownership (ESOP) Plan</li></ul></div></div></div>\n",
