    "requisitionDescription": "<p data-pasted=\"true\"><br></p><p>Job Title:International Flight Clearance Supervisor</p><p>Department:Flight Operations Support</p><p>Reports To:Manager, International Flight Clearance</p><p>FLSA Status:Nonexempt</p><p><br></p><p>SUMMARY:</p><p>The International Flight Clearance Supervisor is responsible for supervising the International Flight Clearance Coordinators and the Operations Assistants at the direction of the International Flight Clearance Manager.</p><p><br></p><p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li>Ensuring the accuracy and validity of permit information provided by the International Flight Clearance Coordinators, as well as the accuracy of the information provided by the Operations Assistants.</li><li>Manning either the International Flight Clearance Coordinator or Operations Assistant desk when staffing dictates.</li><li>Ensuring the quality and accuracy of the Flight Data Information entered by the Ops Assistants</li><li>Assisting the International Flight Clearance Manager with maintaining route databases and establishing instructions for use of saved routes by both the Flight Followers and International Flight Clearance Coordinators.</li><li>Assisting the Manager of International Flight Clearance in determining proper routing of flights based on current international political issues, hostilities, and other associated factors.&nbsp;</li><li>Assisting the Manager of International Flight Clearance in maintaining the flow of accurate information to and from the flight following department</li><li>Assisting the Manager of International Flight Clearance in&nbsp;other duties as assigned as duties may change</li></ul><p><br></p><p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p>The International Flight Clearance&nbsp;Supervisor is responsible for supervision of both the International Flight Clearance Coordinators and Operations Assistants, the quality of their work, and the implementation of training at the direction of the Manager of International Flight Clearance.</p><p><br></p><p>QUALIFICATIONS</p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</p><p>High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable. Must have excellent professional knowledge of world geography, civilian and diplomatic permit clearance issues, and flight operations. Experience in a flight dispatch center is preferred. Attention to detail, analytical thinking, multi-tasking and stress management skills required. Must have ability to work well with others in a supervisory capacity. Must have extensive experience as a permit coordinator or equivalent. Supervisory experience desirable, but not required. FAA Dispatcher&rsquo;s license desirable, but not required.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>LANGUAGE SKILLS</p><p>Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.</p><p><br></p><p>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS</p><p>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to convert between different units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.</p><p><br></p><p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use a computer terminal, telephone and 10-key calculator.
