    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Summary</strong></p>\n<p>The Expeditor in a supply chain environment ensures that materials, products, and components are delivered on time, in the right quantity, and at the right location. The role involves monitoring and expediting the flow of goods from suppliers to production and/or customers to meet demand schedules. This position coordinates with procurement, vendors, transportation providers, and internal teams to resolve supply chain issues, improve delivery performance, and minimize disruptions.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitor the status of orders and deliveries, ensuring materials are available when needed to meet production or customer demands.</li>\n <li>Expedite purchase orders, transportation, and delivery to resolve delays in the supply chain.</li>\n <li>Actively track and follow up on delayed shipments, backorders, and inventory shortages.</li>\n <li>Ensure the timely movement of materials through the supply chain to avoid production or fulfillment delays.</li>\n <li>Communicate with vendors and suppliers to expedite urgent orders or resolve delivery issues.</li>\n <li>Provide clear and accurate updates to internal stakeholders about order status, delays, and expected delivery times.</li>\n <li>Track vendor performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, lead time, and quality, and work with suppliers</li>\n <li>Proactively identify bottlenecks or disruptions in the supply chain and implement corrective actions.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to address and resolve discrepancies or delays in deliveries.</li>\n <li>Facilitate the return of damaged, incorrect, or defective items.</li>\n <li>to address issues.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate records of expediting activities, including tracking logs, communication with vendors, and resolution details.</li>\n <li>Prepare reports on material shortages, expedited orders, and delivery performance to help manage future demand forecasting and procurement planning.</li>\n <li>Update and maintain records in ERP or supply chain management systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).</li>\n <li>Work closely with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to align priorities, schedules, and inventory management strategies.</li>\n <li>Team focused environment with commitment to quality and safety.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Preferred Education/Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>\n <li> Knowledge of supply chain processes, transportation, inventory management, and vendor relations.</li>\n <li> Proactive problem-solving</li>\n <li>Time management and prioritization</li>\n <li>Attention to detail</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Customer-focused mindset</li>\n</ul>\n<p>  </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</strong></p>\n<p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear.
