The Company: Pacific Aerospace & Electronics (PacAero) is seeking an Additive Manufacturing Technician (any level) to join our team. PacAero is primarily located in Wenatchee, WA with a remote manufacturing site, Bonded Metals, located in Sequim, WA. Working together, we employ proprietary technologies, best practices engineering, and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the world’s most extreme environments. PacAero’s products are hard at work in medical components, such as cardiac-function devices, on key aerospace & defense programs, in space and deep below the earth's surface. The Position: Job Summary Additive Manufacturing Technicians, utilizing 3D printers and vacuum forming machines, support our production, quality control, and engineering teams through both process and continuous improvement projects, by producing tools and fixtures in the pursuit of highest quality and yield of our sold goods delivered to our partner customers. Schedule: Mon-Fri, 6am-2:30pm Primary Responsibilities Work cooperatively with all employees. Willingness to adapt work schedule to company needs. Consistently at work and on time. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Observe safety regulations and follow protective equipment requirements. Report hazardous observations to your lead or supervisor. Comprehend and follow all parts handling requirements. Additive Manufacturing Technician I Responsibilities Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work center environment. Read prints &/or CAD models to understand required criteria of item to be produced. Set up & operate 3D printers, per defined process, to produce needs. Set up & operate vacuum forming machines, per defined process, to produce needs. Conduct inspection of finished items per required criteria & quality standards. Observe machine function, and notify support staff proactively of needed repairs, to ensure consistent processing ahead of negative impacts to items produced &/or machine functionality. Monitor inventory of raw printing & forming materials – notify support staff of needed materials 2weeks minimum before inventory is depleted. Support seniormost department staff on the optimization of the work center environment, equipment & process. Additive Manufacturing Technician II Responsibilities The level I list above and: Support department coworkers to ensure their success. Perform routine maintenance on machines per prescribed plan. Monitor & report to support staff when raw material inventory falls below defined level. Support seniormost department staff on the optimization of the work center environment, equipment & process. Additive Manufacturing Technician III Responsibilities The level I and II lists above and: Support department coworkers to ensure their success. Field, document & prioritize requests for printed &/or formed items. Create & document models & required DWG’s to produce requested items. Validate setup & printing parameters of first-run items to ensure successful printing results for Junior (JR) level coworkers. Validate setup & forming parameters of first-run items to ensure successful forming results for Junior (JR) level coworkers. Perform troubleshooting on machines, profiles &/or parameters if malfunctions arise. Repair &/or replace machine components (hardware &/or software) as required. Manage ordering & receipt of raw material required by work center. Working with the work center Process Engineer (PE), develop printing & forming profiles for optimized production.
