We are leaders in our industry, supported by an exceptional team.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are looking for a Driver to join our team at OBW Equipment.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">We offer:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comprehensive Benefit Plan</li>\n<li>Employee perk programs including discounted gym memberships and shopping discounts</li>\n<li>Business casual work environment</li>\n<li>Opportunity for growth and development</li>\n<li>Company events</li>\n<li>A great team!</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">You have:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid Driver’s License &amp; Clean Abstract</li>\n<li>Strong ability to follow instruction &amp; updated knowledge of various routes throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)</li>\n<li>Strong ability to work in a team environment</li>\n<li>Able to read, write and speak English fluently</li>\n<li>Professionalism and excellence in customer service</li>\n<li>Self-motivated, punctual, reliable, and highly safety conscious</li>\n<li>Flexibility to work nights and weekend as required as well as ability to work in all weather conditions</li>\n<li>Experience in pulling and reversing with trailers is an asset</li>\n<li>Willing to be on a rotational Emergency Stand-by/On Call List for after hours and weekend emergencies as required and will be additionally compensated.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of load securement is an asset however training can/will also be provided.</li>\n<li>Minimal laborer experience in previous roles</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>As a driver you will:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Operate vehicles and commercial trucks to transport goods and materials to designated locations.</span></li>\n<li><span>Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition and comply with safety regulations.</span></li>\n<li><span>Safely load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques.</span></li>\n<li>Repeated heavy lifting throughout the day to facilitate loading and unloading of goods in the yard and at customer sites.</li>\n<li><span>Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines and optimize efficiency.</span></li>\n<li><span>Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating commercial vehicles.</span></li>\n<li><span>Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to cargo or equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain accurate records of driving hours, mileage, and deliveries to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.</span></li>\n<li><span>Report any accidents, incidents, or safety violations to management promptly.</span></li>\n<li><span>Provide excellent customer service by delivering cargo on time and in good condition.</span></li>\n<li><span>Communicate effectively with customers, dispatchers, and warehouse personnel to coordinate deliveries and address any issues or concerns.</span></li>\n<li><span>Represent the company professionally and courteously while interacting with customers and the public.</span></li>\n<li><span>Perform routine maintenance tasks on vehicles, such as checking fluid levels, inspecting tires, and performing minor repairs.</span></li>\n<li><span>Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions to maintenance staff or supervisors for timely repairs.</span></li>\n<li><span>Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained to ensure safe and reliable operation.</span></li>\n<li><span>Collaborate with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members to coordinate schedules, resolve issues, and ensure efficient operations.</span></li>\n<li><span>Communicate effectively with coworkers to share information, coordinate tasks, and support teamwork and collaboration.</span></li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Ramudden – Seeing how to make the world safer, caring enough to make it happen.</span></p>\n<p>The above statement reflects the general details considered necessary to describe the principal functions of the job identified and shall not be considered as the detailed description of all work required in the job.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Ramudden Canada is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing employment in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
