    "description": "<h2>Position Description</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>At a Glance</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Legrand </strong>has an exciting opportunity for a <strong>Automatic Machine Operator</strong> to join the <strong>Electrica Wiring Systems (Cablofil) Team </strong>in<strong> Mascoutah, IL. Conductor-In-Training are responsible for learning the operation of the Wire Mesh Welding Machine.</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>What Will You Do?</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Duties:</strong></p>\n<p>· Use wire feed welder to weld broken tray.</p>\n<p>· Use multimeters to help trouble shoot electrical systems on all production machines.</p>\n<p>· Use grinders, drills and other hand-held tools to maintain & modified production line.</p>\n<p>· Use measuring tools: micro motor, calipers, ruler, and scales.</p>\n<p>· Assist with setting up operations for the day. And ensure machines are ready for operation.</p>\n<p>· Must wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies and practices.</p>\n<p>· Review production schedules and ensure correct size tray is produced within standards, properly packaged, and loaded on trucks.</p>\n<p>· Ensure production line is safe, clean and in good working condition.</p>\n<p>· Complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.</p>\n<p>· Ensure tools are in place.</p>\n<p>· Assist with changeovers.</p>\n<p>· Modify existing programs as needed to ensure quality of end product.</p>\n<p>· Preform hourly inspections, quality checks and inspect tray.</p>\n<p>· Complete daily & weekly paper work ie. daily report, monthly tracking, TRS board.</p>\n<p>· Keep Supervisors informed of machine problems such as break downs or bad wire & spare parts inventory.</p>\n<p>· Practice continuous improvement by participating in meetings and workshops.</p>\n<p>· Adjusting settings in the set- up and control of production equipment in accordance with applicable procedures and instructions.</p>\n<p>· Perform both mechanical and electrical machine maintenance activities.</p>\n<p>· Additional responsibilities may arise through the development of the above listed items.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Skills</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>· High School Diploma or equivalent</p>\n<p>· Able to perform repetitive job functions; hand mobility, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling</p>\n<p>· Able to stand for at least 8 hours per day</p>\n<p>· Basic computer knowledge</p>\n<p>· Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.</p>\n<p>· Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures</p>\n<p>· Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job</p>\n<p>· Must be able to access all areas of the workspace, including confined spaces within machinery</p>\n<p>· Must be able to operate effectively within a 13” x 2.5' space to perform machinery maintenance</p>\n<p>· Must be able to climb ladder to perform machine operation and maintenance</p>\n<p>· This role involves positioning oneself in cramped or low spaces to perform repairs, including bending, crouching, and crawling for extended periods.</p>\n<p>· This position requires working within a cramped/low space with the following dimensions for machinery maintenance and inspection. The employee must be able to repeatedly enter, maneuver within, and exit a space measuring 13.5”' x 2.5’.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<p>· Four years of experience with mechanical equipment & general manufacturing experience</p>\n<p>· Mechanical aptitude</p>\n<p>· Experience in use of measuring gauges</p>\n<p>· Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic valves, cylinders, pumps, motors and motor controls, variable frequency drives, contactors, breakers and PLC controls</p>\n<p>· Basic electrical background (12 v to 480 v) and experience with 3 phase electric troubleshooting</p>\n<h2>Company Info</h2>\n<p><strong>About Legrand</strong></p>\n<p>Legrand is the global specialist in electrical and digital building infrastructures.
