Apply today to join our team!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>As a Project Manager I with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead and coordinate all aspects of assigned projects for designated programs/services within the People team </li>\n <li>Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH). Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and on budget, as described in the project plan.</li>\n <li>Work with partners at all levels and inspires others to achieve goals and deliverables through facilitation, effective communication of corporate visions, and ensuring the culture is one in which individual competencies can thrive.</li>\n <li>May provide leadership, guidance and support to designated project staff.</li>\n <li>Projects may involve process improvement and work redesign, productivity review/staff deployment and the provision of strategic information to support those processes. Findings and recommendations have a direct financial and staff resources impact.</li>\n <li>Communicate with all levels of staff and management across VCH to facilitate consensus, consult, negotiate and share information.</li>\n <li>Liaise with consultants, vendors and other health care entities and other external agencies to negotiate contracts for the provision of goods and services.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This work is framed within VCH’s commitments to our pillars of Indigenous Cultural Safety, Anti-Racism, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, and Planetary Health.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education & Experience </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services Administration, Business Administration or relevant health care discipline with five (5) to seven (7) year's recent, related experience in project management and facilitating and managing consultation processes with a wide range of partner groups.</li>\n <li>Current registration with relevant professional College/Association, if applicable.</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment including ability to communicate with the physician community.</li>\n <li>Computer literacy with word-processing, spreadsheet, presentation, project management and database applications.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge & Expertise</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Displays comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies and ability to coach team members on these skills.</li>\n <li>Effectively monitors budgets and executes project plans with stringent timelines.</li>\n <li>Develops and maintains strong relationships with key internal and external partners to promote and enhance services provided with sensitivity to diversity and indigenous lens.</li>\n <li>Practices the recognition, inclusion and support of all types and aspects of diversity at all stages of engagement, with an understanding of the issues faced by people from equity-deserving groups.</li>\n <li>Utilizes initiative, vision, independent thinking, and creative problem-solving abilities to implement project plans and realize project completion.</li>\n <li>Maintains a broad knowledge of patient care delivery systems in primary, acute and community settings.</li>\n <li>Maintains a thorough understanding of available resources for projects and applicable partner groups, provides feedback and detailed analysis on project processes and makes recommendations as required.</li>\n <li>Utilizes effective facilitation, persuasion and negotiation abilities to achieve consensus, resolve conflict and achieve desired outcomes.</li>\n <li>Works effectively under time pressure to meet deadlines, balance work priorities and resolve problems in a timely manner.</li>\n <li>Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Closing Statement</h2>\n<p>The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.</p>\n<p>As per Ministry of Health policy, all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections. Collecting these records will allow for offering of any missing vaccines, and for appropriate actions to be taken in the event of any future exposure to a communicable disease or during outbreaks.
