This includes compressors, condensers, blast freezers, ammonia pumps, evaporators, and all associated valves, piping and instrumentation.</li>\n <li>Performing periodic testing of ammonia detection systems</li>\n <li>Monitoring and repairing hot water heaters, water filters and reservoirs; as well as electrical control panels</li>\n <li>Repairing and maintaining utility equipment such as steam, water, air and standby equipment including temperature controls, thermostats, meters, and temperature and pressure chart recorders</li>\n <li>Maintaining ongoing improvement and upkeep of all utility areas</li>\n <li>Maintaining preventative and corrective maintenance policies, procedures and reporting</li>\n <li>Performing HAZMAT team assignments as required and assisting in the Emergency Response Program</li>\n <li>Performing other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is a safety sensitive position.  This is an on-site position.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Qualified candidates for the Refrigeration Technician position should possess the following:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proven work history in Boiler and industrial refrigeration (B&E) in the beef industry preferred</li>\n <li>Strong Knowledge in RCM dealing with PMs, PDMs and specialty training related to RCM process</li>\n <li>Disciplined in areas related to industrial maintenance; electrical, fabrication, fluid power, machining, mechanical, plumbing, welding, construction</li>\n <li>Mechanical skills and understanding of basic machine functions</li>\n <li>Ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches</li>\n <li>Basic computer skills</li>\n <li>Willingness to work and be on time when scheduled</li>\n <li>Ability to read, write and speak English preferred</li>\n <li>Strong work ethic and eye for detail</li>\n <li>Exemplary safety record (with previous employer)</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills, both written and verbal</li>\n <li>General knowledge of plant layout</li>\n <li>Valid Driver’s License</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical requirements for this position are as follows:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Climbing occasionally - Heights up to 50 feet</li>\n <li>Stooping occasionally</li>\n <li>Crouching occasionally</li>\n <li>Standing for 8 or more hours per day</li>\n <li>Talking</li>\n <li>Hearing</li>\n <li>Walking frequently</li>\n <li>Pushing frequently</li>\n <li>Pulling frequently</li>\n <li>Grasping frequently</li>\n <li>Repetitive motions frequently</li>\n <li>Lifting: 0 – 100#</li>\n <li>Environment: Hot and Cold</li>\n <li>Environment: Some exposure to the elements</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Must be at least 18 years of age or older.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.</p>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p>Iowa Premium, a National Beef Company, is dedicated to being the premier supplier of premium family farm-raised corn-fed Black Angus beef.
