    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p><p>Brown Jug, a leading premium retailer of wine, beer, and spirits in Alaska, is seeking a results-driven, operations-focused Store Operations Manager. &nbsp;This individual will support the Store Manager in running a high-volume, multimillion-dollar retail business while upholding our commitment to exceptional customer service, operational excellence, and community responsibility.</p><p>The Store Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role, focused on inventory management, financial oversight, team development, execution of retail programs, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. &nbsp;This position is ideal for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to driving performance, developing talent, and improving operational outcomes.</p><p>This position will be located at the Brown Jug Spenard store (275) at 3900 Spenard Road.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Financial and Inventory Management:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement strategies that meet or exceed the store&rsquo;s profitability goals</li><li>Oversee accurate inventory controls: &nbsp;ordering, receiving, cycle counts, and shrink management</li><li>Monitor and ensure compliance with financial procedures including invoice verification, cash handling, deposits, and reconciliation</li><li>Produce and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to sales performance, labor costs, inventory, and loss prevention</li><li>Adjust scheduling to align labor costs with sales forecasts and operational needs</li><li>Partner on initiatives to maximize return on investment and improve overall store efficiency</li></ul><p><strong>Operational Execution:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ensure flawless execution of daily operations and corporate programs</li><li>Monitor store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising to meet brand standards</li><li>Manage store-level communications including promotions, events, and internal updates</li><li>Drive execution of visual and promotional programs, and assess performance outcomes</li><li>Set daily priorities and align team members to achieve goals</li><li>Maintain organized records, documentation, and compliance logs</li></ul><p><strong>Regulatory Compliance and Safety:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Ensure adherence to all health, safety, alcohol service, and labor regulations</li><li>Maintain employee training certifications (TAP, RServing, First Aid, etc.) and ensure all staff are compliant</li><li>Coordinate audits and inspections; follow up on corrective actions where necessary</li><li>Enforce internal safety and loss prevention policies to safeguard employees and assets</li><li>Uphold all Company and Afognak Native Corporation policies, particularly around Social Responsibility</li></ul><p><strong>Leadership and Team Development:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and performance-driven culture</li><li>Coach, mentor, and develop team members through regular feedback and structured development plans</li><li>Address performance issues, using progressive discipline and support team accountability</li><li>Lead daily huddles and weekly team meetings to set expectations and review priorities</li><li>Partner with Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and succession planning</li><li>Promote a high-standard work environment with clear expectations and timely recognition</li></ul><p><strong>Customer Engagement and Service Excellence:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Model and enforce LSUN&rsquo;s 5 Non-Negotiables: Greet, Engage, Build, Add-On, Thank</li><li>Resolve escalated customer concerns with professionalism and urgency</li><li>Monitor customer feedback via surveys or direct interaction, and recommend improvements</li><li>Reinforce company programs and promotions to maximize customer value and satisfaction<strong>&nbsp;</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Scheduling Requirements:</strong></p><p>All Store Operations Managers must maintain flexible availability and meet the following schedule requirements:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>At least one (1) mid-shift (until 7:00 or 8:00 pm) per week</li><li>At least one (1) evening shift every two weeks</li><li>At least one (1) opening shift per week</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong><strong>:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must be 21 years of age or older</li><li>High School Diploma or GED</li><li>1+ year of retail experience</li><li>Valid State of Alaska Alcohol Server Certification (TAP or RServing)</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)</li><li>Must pass a background check</li><li>Must have reliable transportation</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications and Skill:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>1+ year of leadership, supervisory, or management experience</li><li>Post-secondary coursework or training in business, leadership, or hospitality</li><li>Wine, beer, and spirits product knowledge</li><li>First Aid Certification</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team</li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Proven ability to interpret and act on financial reports (P&amp;L, sales, labor, shrink)<strong>&nbsp;</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Able to work a variable retail schedule, including weekends, holidays, and evenings</li><li>Able to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds</li><li>Comfortable with climbing ladders and handling product merchandise</li></ul><p><strong>Workplace Hazards:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Exposure to robbery or shoplifting incidents (potential for psychological stress)</li><li>Risk of injury from lifting, slips, trips, falls, broken glass, and box cutters</li><li>Must remain alert and aware of safety protocols at all times<strong>&nbsp;</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Equal Opportunity Employer</strong><br>Afognak Native Corporation and Afognak&rsquo;s direct and indirect subsidiaries, partnerships, joint ventures and affiliates to include Alutiiq, LLC;
