Your Mission: We are seeking a Software Systems Engineer to join our mission team and play a pivotal role at the intersection of system engineering, flight software, and customer payload. In this position, you will serve as the interface between the payload provider, the mission team, and the Flight Software (FSW) team, helping to drive successful software development and integration for our space missions. Serve as the primary interface between the mission team, the flight software team, and the payload provider. Translate and refine system-level requirements into detailed software subsystem requirements. Support the mission managers and software team leads in planning, coordinating, and tracking software-related work packages. Lead the software development and integration of payload software, ensuring compatibility and functional alignment with the overall system. Define and execute verification strategies to ensure software requirements are met. Contribute to continuous improvement in requirements engineering, traceability, and compliance processes. Your Background: This position requires a careful mix of several skills: (Embedded) Software Experience in embedded software engineering, ideally in aerospace or related high-reliability domains Experience in programming with C and Python (or similar languages), as well as real-time operating systems and embedded Linux Hands-on experience with flight software development and verification is a plus Aerospace Formal education (university, ...) or self taught (Did you play Kerbal Space Program? Watched Scott Manley's videos? Tell us!) Knowledge of satellite subsystems, as well as satellite payloads and their operational constraints Prior work on commercial space missions is a plus Working with customers in a formal way Demonstrated experience in working with requirements: elicitation, flow-down, verification, and traceability Knowledge of ECSS standards and best practices (e.g., ECSS-E-ST-40, ECSS-Q-ST-80, etc.) is a plus What We Offer: Collaborate with a diverse multinational team crafting the next wave of cutting-edge satellites.
