We provide: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Comprehensive health benefits that start day1 </li>\n <li>Student Loan Repayment Assistance & Reimbursement Programs </li>\n <li>Family-focused benefits  </li>\n <li>Wellness incentives </li>\n <li>Ongoing mentorship, <em>development, </em>and leadership programs  </li>\n <li>And more  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Location: </strong>Atlanta, GA</p>\n<h2>Description</h2>\n<p>OVERVIEW:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Directs the day-to-day operations of Engineering Services by overseeing the mechanical, electrical, heating and cooling, plumbing, fire protection, medical gas, and building systems.</li>\n <li>Oversees energy management and preventive maintenance programs.</li>\n <li>Supervises staff responsible for system maintenance and operations.</li>\n <li>Ensures department compliance with regulations.</li>\n <li>Participates in developing departmental goals and objectives.</li>\n <li>Meets with other staff members to discuss progress and to develop future courses of action.</li>\n <li>Supervises staff and manages employee performance.</li>\n <li>Provides ongoing performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and trains employees, documents and verifies competency and identifies and suggests ways to develop skills.</li>\n <li>Monitors workflow to maintain efficiency and high level of customer service.</li>\n <li>Manages the mechanical, heating and cooling, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, medical gas, and building systems.</li>\n <li>Coordinates work of contractors and in-house projects for all systems.</li>\n <li>Assists in the direction and implementation of energy conservation and management programs; ensures identified projects are most cost effective and communicates goals and results to the organization.</li>\n <li>Directs the preventive maintenance program for the equipment and utility systems to ensure compliance with regulations.</li>\n <li>Coordinates program of equipment testing.</li>\n <li>Monitors outside service and repair contracts on plant equipment and utility systems by overseeing work to ensure satisfaction and timely completion of assigned work.</li>\n <li>Plans, administers, and monitors the department's capital equipment, operations, and personnel budgets by reviewing prior budget expenses, regularly reviewing year to date expenses, investigating variances, and tacking corrective action.</li>\n <li>Coordinates the preparation of purchase requisitions for parts and equipment and establishes inventory control levels.</li>\n <li>Collects, organizes, and analyzes data and generates and provides accurate and complete reports for management and/or regulatory agencies.</li>\n <li>Interprets applicable regulations and establishes filing and auditing procedures to ensure records and files are accurate and in compliance.</li>\n <li>Takes the necessary precautions, in keeping with OSHA standards and other applicable federal, state, and municipal regulations, when working with hazardous chemicals and materials and power equipment.</li>\n <li>Uses personal protective equipment as required.</li>\n <li>Performs other related duties as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and three (3) years experience in Facilities or Engineering Management OR eight (8) years of experience in Facilities or Property Management.</li>\n <li>Previous supervisory responsibility required.</li>\n <li>Based on established hospital/department/unit standards, employees may not perform all duties listed in this job description PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (Medium-Heavy) 36-75 lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 20-35 lbs, 34-66% of the workday; (frequently);10-20 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 75 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 35 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking; Occasional sitting; Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing); Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks.
