We offer medical, dental and vision coverage, life insurance, employee assistance programs, company discounts, perks and more for most full-time positions!</p>\n<p>Start your phenomenal career with Allied Universal today!</p>\n<h2>Job Description</h2>Allied Universal is Seeking \n<strong>Security Guard - Part Time - Industrial Site</strong> in an industrial site in \n<strong>Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta</strong> \n<strong>Title: </strong>Security Guard - Part Time - Industrial Site\n<strong>Location</strong>: Fort Saskatchewan, AB\n<strong>Type:</strong> Part-Time\n<strong>Pay Rate:</strong> $21.60 per hour\n<strong>Shift:</strong>  The shift times will be 0600-1800 for Day shift and 1800-0600 for Overnight shift. \n<strong>Rotation:</strong> 4 Days ON & 4 Days OFF - 4 Overnights ON & 4 Overnights OFF. \n<strong><u>Overview:</u></strong> We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated \n<strong>Security Guard - Part Time - Industrial Site </strong>to join our team at a commercial site in \n<strong>Fort Saskatchewan, AB</strong>. This position involves providing security and monitoring services 24/7, with a focus on maintaining a safe and secure environment for all personnel and assets.  \n<strong>Responsibilities:</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Verify the identity of staff members entering the facility.</li>\n <li>Provide visitors with proper identification and ensure it is returned after their visit.</li>\n <li>Perform foot patrols throughout the building.</li>\n <li>Conduct mobile patrols across the property.</li>\n <li>Monitor and report any suspicious activities or individuals.</li>\n <li>Identify and prevent theft and vandalism.</li>\n <li>Write comprehensive narrative reports and keep daily activity logs.</li>\n <li>Enforce facility rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, while responding to security-related emergencies.</li>\n <li>Manage conflict situations calmly and effectively.</li>\n <li>Utilize communication devices such as radios and mobile phones.</li>\n <li>Adhere to radio and emergency phone protocols.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with safety and emergency procedures.</li>\n <li>Respond promptly to alarms and other emergencies.</li>\n</ul> \n<strong>Requirements:</strong>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Must comply with the site's clean-shave policy due to Health and Safety compliance</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Must be at least 25 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.</strong></li>\n <li>Previous experience in security is an asset.</li>\n <li><strong>A valid Alberta Security License is required.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>A valid Alberta Class 5 (Non-GDL) Driver’s License is required (May be required to provide 5-year drivers abstract upon hire)</strong></li>\n <li>Strong computer skills are essential.</li>\n <li>Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.</li>\n <li>Maintain a professional and neat appearance.</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all personnel and the public.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates exceptional customer service and communication skills.</li>\n <li>Capable of handling crisis situations calmly and efficiently at the client site.</li>\n</ul> \n<strong>Physical Requirements:</strong>\n<ul>\n <li>Remain on your feet or walk continuously (potentially for an entire shift) on different surfaces.</li>\n <li>Occasionally ascend stairs, ramps, or ladders throughout the shift.</li>\n <li>Drive for extended periods.</li>\n <li>Periodically bend or twist at the waist, knees, or neck to complete various tasks.</li>\n <li>Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.</li>\n <li>Work in various conditions, including outdoor environments with extreme weather such as cold, snow, rain, or heat.</li>\n <li>Running may be required.</li>\n</ul>\n<strong>Disclaimer:</strong> As part of our standard hiring process, all candidates being considered for employment with Allied Universal are required to undergo a background check.
