Join us and help shape the future of IT.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Network Engineer Job Description :&nbsp;</strong></p><p><br>The Network Engineer position is a technical position responsible for performing various work functions in support of the Boeing network. The engineer will be supporting the client remotely from Acuative&rsquo;s Strongsville, OH office. This position will require in-depth technical knowledge to facilitate the design, install, and management of enterprise networking solutions and associated components. This will include the high-level input on system architecture and design changes, analysis and resolution of networking hardware, software, and routing issues.<br>&nbsp; Along with this knowledge, it is imperative that the incumbent understands Boeing&rsquo;s business goals and management&rsquo;s objectives and priorities. The incumbent collaborates to develop solutions for supporting the large and diverse user community&rsquo;s needs within the constraints of the business requirements and Infrastructure Services Portfolio of offerings.</p><p><strong>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Responsible for configuration, implementation, and support for network installations as necessary.</li><li>Provide network support and troubleshooting network solutions for a large enterprise network, including the WAN, MAN and DC components.</li><li>Work with customers, vendors, and technical teams to prospect and develop network design, installation, and support opportunities.</li><li>Maintaining an established work schedule and availability for scheduled implementations including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.</li><li>Create and maintain comprehensive documentation as it relates to network technologies, network topology, network equipment, and configuration(s). Ability to document standards, methods and produce drawings of environments.</li><li>Provide timely and accurate project status updates to customer contacts and management.</li><li>Analyze system reports, error logs and activity and initiate system enhancements as needed.</li><li>Provide Engineering level support for incident and problem management.</li><li>Interact with customers and establish customer relationships to gather and analyze customer needs, assess available resources, and determine optimal solutions.</li><li>Assist PMs with developing project plans incorporating resource estimates for project tasks and manage projects as assigned.</li><li>Collaborate with senior members of the client&rsquo;s infrastructure teams.</li><li>Advise management on technology roadmaps, evaluate vendor products, and make recommendations on product/service selection and current system upgrades.</li><li>Train, educate and mentor junior staff, as necessary.</li><li>Participate in after-hours upgrades, troubleshooting, and/or on-call availability.</li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications :&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>5- 8 years of experience in Network Engineering.</li><li>Cisco CCNP certification (required).</li><li>Strong understanding of the following technical skills:<ul type=\"circle\"><li>L2: VLANs/dot1q.</li><li>IP routing protocols (Static, OSPF, EIGRP).</li><li>BGP incl route attributes, route preference and route filtering.</li><li>Routing redistribution and filtering.</li><li>ACLs/route maps/prefix-lists/ASN access-lists.</li><li>QoS.</li><li>MPLS/VRFs.</li><li>IPsec, GRE, GETVPN, DMVPN.</li><li>IP Multicast.</li><li>Physical connectivity and fiber (SM/MM/Connector Types/ODF/SFPs/Basic optics/racking equipment/power/cooling and air flows).</li><li>Network services (DNS/DHCP).</li></ul></li><li>Experience with large-scale Cisco enterprise networking solutions including design, implementation, and support.</li><li>Experience and knowledge of the different Cisco product lines and positioning of each.</li><li>Familiarity with SDWAN.</li><li>Familiarity with Cloud Services including AWS, Azure, or OCI.</li><li>Familiarity with SASE solutions such Palo Alto Prisma and ZScaler.</li><li>5-7 years of experience installing, upgrading, and maintaining Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent experience.</li><li>Excellent design and architecture skills.</li><li>Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Experience maintaining network performance through network monitoring and analysis.</li><li>Familiarity with IP Telephony, Linux, Python, Elastic Search and SolarWinds monitoring tools.</li><li>Knowledge of carrier services and interfaces.</li><li>Proficient in customer knowledge transfer and documentation (HLD/LLD/NIP/NRFU/MOP/Migration Plan).</li><li>Strong attention to detail in-regard to project planning and documentation.</li><li>Ability to apply judgment, implement solutions, and resolve conflicts, all in a multi-tasked environment.</li><li>Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and with written documentation.</li><li>Ability to handle a growing, fast paced environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications :</strong></p><ul><li>CCIE Certification.&nbsp;</li><li>Arista Routing and Switching&nbsp;</li><li>Cisco SD-WAN&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Equal Opportunity Statement :&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Acuative</strong> is an equal opportunity employer.
